He asked,I answered.

Posted by gadchik on April 4, 2012, at 11:52:06

My hubby asked me,in the midst of my depression, what exactly did I feel like? My answer,a crushed insect left to die on the pavement.Later,he asked what I felt when I came out of it? My answer, like coming slowly into morning, the sun gradually lighting my face,a first breath of fresh morning air.It was lovely.

that's a good thought, phillipa.Yes,I feel like a butterfly now,and I relish it.I know I may not always have this,so I will stay in the present, not worry about future troubles!

Bliss,as expected.I want to be back there, just slicing thru the ocean,on a big cruise ship. And how was your week?

The week was good. I sewed quite a bit. I find it calming. I am good if I am able to do things with my hands.

I was thinking how wonderful, in a way, that your husband had such loving curiosity about your depressive episode. It is difficult to understand and to explain isn't it?

And that the world is so vast. You are traversing the ocean on a cruise ship beneath a sun and glittering stars and salt air and I am ashore in a house, and yet I can glimpse the same night sky in snippets if I hold my mind still enough.

Did you dance on the decks? :-)

My hubby was sooo very confused and scared as I was losing my mind.As you know, the woman of the house is usually the level-headed one,the one that keeps things running smoothly, and there I was as vulnerable as a child.
I forgot all about the dancing on the decks part! However,my soul was dancing.I did think about how vast the ocean is,and how I could look from all areas of the ship and see nothing but ocean and sky.I was light on my feet all week, very happy and calm!I must go again, soon.

I see what you mean about using your hands. For me,its movement.Like hiking or swinging in the hammock to calm me.And also,I must love the cruises because we move thru the ocean.
