Your favorite skin lotion

Do you have one?
I think gold bond is good.
I like udderly smooth, not glamourous, but it works.

Origins precipitation. I think the EPA also said no harmful chemicals in it also. As the skin is the largest organ for excretion of toxins so if it excretes it also absorbs them. It last a long time for a huge bottle with a pump. Phillipa

For wrinkles and acne Retin A is the only proven effective lotion or cream. Weleda creams are my favorite creams (because of the smell) but I don't use any creams actually.

I probably need to find one. I can't tolerate fragrance (aside from Bath and Body works - not sure why), and the best ones I have found make me sneeze.

I'd have to say Avon Skin So Soft really is my favorite, because it does seem to keep away mosquitos.

I don't wrinkle very much, probably because I'm fat. But I've started to get chest wrinkles. They're somehow bothering me.

I don't really use creams on face or body anymore. Using retin-a (I'm using the weak one, .025) and taking lots of supplements (high dose niacinamide, in particular, seems helpful) has eliminated my need for moisturizers and body lotions.

Dinah--you can use retin-a all over for wrinkles. I get mine for cheap from an online Indian pharmacy. Some people pay full price (insurance often won't cover prescriptions for patients over a certain age) in the US or use a Canadian pharmcy to save funds.

Dr. Hauschka's Moor Lavendar Oil. I'm out right now, so I'm using random about the house creams.

Are you using sun screen? Retin-A can make you sensitive to sunlight.

I think thats correct. I would be careful not to take too much. This is not anti-aging, anti-aging doesn't exit.

When I was exposed to much sunlight I have taken hyaluronic acid cream that is used for patients after radiation therapy or wound healing. It has a nice cooling effect but when the skin isn't dry, it does dry out the skin.

I don't think Indian products are worse than domestic products but nevertheless it's a good idea to check if it is from a approved manufacturer that is controlled (FDA, EMA etc.) and does apply good manufacturing practice. Some big pharmaceutical companies do not like any imports...

Generic retin A was prescribed for me by my dermatologist as he said his Mom is in 70's has no wrinkles. No it can't reverse what's there but can hopefully help keep others from forming. Always use sunscreen and stay out of the sun which I miss. Phillipa

Phillipa, I feel too depressed if I get no sun. Really. I try to limit, but at my age, I don't know why. Not to sunbathe. Just to be in. I get so cold and my eyes seem to need the light in them. I tan and pink through any sunscreen.

I always said the Sun was the one risk factor would allow myself but the money spent on repairing the damage was incredible. Just to restore me to what I should look like at my age. The brown spots have to watch as they turn to cancer. I abused the sun all my life out in it 24 hours a day paying price now. Funny you mention it though as the Sun is the only thing that ever used to relax me. Phillipa

The man who developed the HPV vaccine (from Queensland) believes that much skin cancer is caused by that virus when the immune system is compromised.

He had his sons take it.

Can one be tested for this? Is it like the herpes virus, once you have it, you have it?

Nivea...Soft type in the white jar not the regular blue one. It's heavenly, like thick whipped cream.

Err.....hmm....hope that doesn't sound kinky ;-)
