I can't remember if I took my meds, but

Posted by sleepygirl2 on December 26, 2011, at 13:41:03

I remember opening the bottle and looking inside, but I also had to check how much I had before dropping off a new script. I'm not unusually irritable, so I think I might've.
I hate when this happens.

My thing is if I drop the pill on the floor.I then cant see it,as my reading glasses are always...somewhere...and I have pets,so the pill has to be found. But Im also terrified of germs on a pill, and the next thought of the germs getting a free ride to my stomach on pill,if it is found.I then contemplate the expense of the pill-brand,no insurance.Once found,I just decide to drop it back into the bottle, grab another, and forget about it.This happens too many times...

I worry about my kitties if I drop the pills, can't leave them lost. Pills are slippery little devils.
I've got those 7 day pill holder things, you know M, T, W etc.
I've got one for the night meds, one for vitamins, but I don't have one for the daytime. I usually just put a bunch of the morning ones, effexor and klonopin in an empty pill bottle, and take them wherever I happen to be in the am, so it's easy to forget whether I took them or not.

The effexor has a way of telling me it's not there. I just couldn't tell today, but my eye was twitching- might be a sign, irritability, headache and general fuzziness are other signs.

I keep my meds in a tampon box,too many teenagers around! I only take at night, right before bed, thus the dropping routine. Each night,I decide, will it be a 1/4 remeron added to 1 klonopin,or 1/2 klonopin added to 1/2 remeron? Usually I stick w/1 klonopin only.I used to take zoloft, but tapered off.Ive been happy so far w/o it.The klonopin seems to be the long term one for me.Sometimes,I must take it during the day,not often.I do take fish oil as well.

phillipa,I hate to admit this, but, some of my hubbys family that we hadnt seen in 15yrs were coming to see us.I looked at myself and suddenly realized I had gained 35lbs!I looked bloated, and exercise didnt have the same effect on me while i took zoloft.also, my rls was worse, and I craved carbs and sweets.I wasnt on a high dose, only 25mg,but for 2years.My hubby said just give it a shot,it wont kill you to taper(i was more worried about the withdrawal than anything)My pdoc said to try it and see what i felt like.so i cut it in half for 2 or 3 weeks, until i stopped feeling dizzy. then i did every other day for 2 or 3 weeks, then i just took 12.5mg whenever i felt real dizzy.the time btw doses got longer and longer, then i completely stopped.I have lost 25lbs,but i am hiking 3 to 7 miles most days.Cant seem to lose the last 10lbs.I feel happy tho.I think I worry just a little more than I did on zoloft, but i have to be fit or i'm miserable. But,if I know Im getting depressed,it usually is something that happens externally, unexpected, where I would have a new normal to deal with, then I would restart the zoloft, remeron everyday, in a heartbeat.Your sanity is worth it!

It wasnt easy to finally decide to get off the zoloft.I thought about it for a week or so first.I then kept repeating,"it wont kill you",whenever the taper felt weird.I had bad dizziness, intense dreams, but no increased anxiety, depression. It was actually liberating to take the last dose! Now klonopin is so different.I tried to taper it sev times after successful zoloft, and couldnt do it.I have more of an emotional attachment to it.Also, the physical issues tapering that 1 is intense for me.My pdoc says,"you are not ready to taper the klonopin yet"

Gadchik forget was zoloft your first ad? If so my first was paxil l0mg and bit a tiny piece off each day for two weeks then nothing. Was okay and held onto the xanax low dose. Same reasons. But since been on ad's so long and they don't work. I've developed all these ocd like anxiety about getting off. I dont think weight gain but who knows might be a lot slimmer without. The lexapro since 2.5mg first to go will let it go tonight. See what happens anxiety still bad seems the xanax and valium after alternating for 40 some odd years just do nothing. But they might be? i actually had to start out w/remeron added to klonopin,as it was easier on me.then zoloft was added a few weeks later.I was scared of ssris, but i think it did help w/mental symptoms of worry. It seems tho that the klonopin is taking care of both physical and mental now.I should probably take a bigger dose, but i go w/the lowest possible, always. My fear is that it will stop working.I am also very afraid of tapering a benzo.so easy to start, but i fear its hell to stop.
