I can't sleep :-(

Posted by sleepygirl2 on May 29, 2011, at 6:33:18

I dropped .5mgs of klonopin this week, half of the 1mg I usually take. I haven't taken less than 1mg in a very long time.
The most random conversations keep repeating in my head.
I have made some really poor decisions in recent history. It's funny how when you're half asleep how obvious things can seem.

Is that the equivalent of reducing from 20 to 10 of Valium?

I found that so hard.

It took me 3 weeks to feel any better.
I only slept 4 hours (max) a night.
The next day was awful.
I couldn't do anything.

It does help develop patience.

I don't know what the equivalent is to Valium. I was terribly restless in the wee hours if the morn.
I also was anticipating the day which is almost conquered. We shall see what the week brings.
Thanks sig :-)

I had someone say to me 'And who is it today, Mr Grumpy or Mr Cynical?'

(If only she knew.)

This felt like a trap and I had to think quickly.

'Stop it. You're being too kind.'

A narrow escape.

It was also a seven dwarfy thing.

But I'm not sneezy or sleepy and I don't want to be happy.

I know.....I'd like to be Mr Invisible.

The young are on such a rush ;-)

That is a step cut. Very ouchy.

That's on the heels of seroquel decrease?

O.K. Lady. Here's Monday. Be careful out There. Get to the gym.

When you are finally med-free, send me your Freud bag -+unless it has sentimental value or there's a queue.

Those late night thoughts, the ones about mistakes are big, big fakes. They only look good like a late night bar pickup in the dark and slightly intoxicated on say
half a klonopin ;-)

That's one thing to be thankful for. No more of that activity.

Monday, Monday

Made me smile. Twice. Thanks, mister.

I won't be decreasing seroquel yet. That would be some serious insomnia.
Well, last night and today I slept, a lot...my trusty cat by my side, still a little restless though. I've always wanted to find a way to incorporate exercise and sleeping.
I dreamt I was Buffy the vampire slayer. I started out as a patient in a psych ward, another patient was attacking me, but staff didn't notice. Well, Buffy had to cross a river, use an incantation to slay the evil ones. There were twin Buffys though, one with powers, one without. Weird....there was more to it, gets a little convoluted. ;-).
Some mistakes haunt you.
To the gym!!!
Or maybe later ;-)

It's my turn. 2:00 am and 5mg of Valium and it's wakey-wakey here.

I wonder how the Buffys are doing about now.

What to do at 2am?

Bloodlands again, the Dalai Lama's autobiography, a few hours of Pilates, a round of Spanish on Rosetta Stone?

For some reason it reminds me of Banksy's grafitti......'so much time, so little to say'.

Sigi, I can barely read these days. Are you that even one eighth that active when you can't sleep? I need serious therapy to separate mr from my bed. When I can't sleep, I read or correspond on my silly phone. I could try a book light. Do you know of a good one?

Are you still falling asleep around 5:00?

Seriously. My bed is my safety zone at night.

I managed to read Bloodlands twice.

I found it fascinating that millions should die in a grim theatre designed to prove that 2 men were right.

That's narcissism on the big scale.

But lots of the time I can't read. I would, for example, like to understand the economy.

O.K. you have just convinced me that narcissism does exist in purer forms.

The economy? That's worse than physics (or neuroscience). No one agrees.
