i bought some voltarol gell to early to tell only tried it once as i was full of ibrufrin the day before///i wanted to ask you are you familiure with the hawthorn tree in a post i wrote//where i said it new shoots are cool to chew ,an at this time of year loads of old an young guys walk round with a sprig in there mouth///its cool for dry mouth from meds an not toxic//i wondered if other counties have this tree the could give it a shot//you break a end shoot about 3 inch long, strip its leaves to the top 2 or 3 an chew away//kinda cool looking like a gunslinger.

Hi Manic,
The general advice when using Voltarol Emulgel for arthritis is to use it three (or better still) four times a day. You should try it for four weeks before you decide how much it helps.
I don't know much about Hawthorn but I believe that herbalists use it as a tonic for the heart.

ed you still live in england right/////try a sprig it grows every where, you should have no probs finding it//it will soon be in flower///break a fresh sprig from the new growth. clear it of leaves //but leave a few on the end like an arrow to look cool //dont chew it just roll it back an a forth in your mouth//it will last about 3 hours or 3 minutes if you chew//it not as if you wont find another//when jumping on my bike to hit the country trails very slowly i may add//because if i stop fast an use my legs for stability i end in a f*ck*ng heap on the deck///the fist thing i do is pick a spig an proceed to taste is cool flavour //not a srong flavor just sweet //now try it a post back with your verdict //i think you will be suprised
