Fiber Optics and internet.

Doing some research on DSL, Cable Internet, well lines in general, and.....

Twisted pair cables are usally copper, or what ever, i've seen those before. There tied around eachother. For a signal to pass through them. Any signal, telephone, television, internet, yet today Fiber Optic are "in". Don't know what the diffrence is, but there more compact and take up less metal, than the twisted cable metal's together. It's just getting a good signal throught a more compact line (not anaologue - (the old dialup sound's connecting to the internet).

What happens if....there still is a line going up to the pole's but it's cut? the twisted cable copper lines, in the eities must of put there. Is it still usable?

It needs to be replaced. Cat 5 or Cat 6. More people are spending the extra $$$$ for Cat 6.
