Hi Kath!
Doing Better!!!!! Irritability significantly decreased with the gabapentin. Ready for stage 2 (therapy and finding something to help with the depression now). I am optimistic for the first time in months (maybe years) but I know I have a long road ahead (I have been in REALLY BAD SPACE for a while now). Here's to better days ahead! Thanks for the post :) Made me feel special :)
FM

PS how are you doing? :)

I don't 'know' you much yet, but I suspect you not only felt special, but ARE, indeed special.

:-)))

So glad to hear the good news. Hope is a really precious gift to have.

Thx for asking - I'm feeling anxious today. My Group Therapist pointed out that she tends to call 'anxious' a mood & asked me for the name of the emotion......... ohhhhhhhhhkayyyyyyyyy Fear.

She also said that I've had so many years of one thing after another with my son, that even though he's doing amazingly better (details listed in a post on Deneb's thread, about creating our future or reality - can't remember what I titled it, but it's in capitals)...even though he's doing better, I will have these feelings of fear popping up. She suspected that they will become less frequent.

So despite the positives, I'm 'waiting for the next shoe to drop' because my reality has been that it DOES! LOL

So today's fear is that he & friends were away camping for 4 days, were due to return yesterday, he works today & what if he's in bad shape or sleeps in, & what if he losees his job, & how will he manage with his rent, since his roommate didn't work our & he's waiting for his new roommate to be able to afford rent, & what if & what if & my mind can supply limitless "what ifs".

That's me!!! At least I can stand back & see it - observe myself. So that makes it less distressing. But it's pretty uncomfortable.

I send you good thoughts. :-) xo Kath

Hey Kath-
Hope your son is back and doing well :). Don't these thoughts just make us crazy, huh? I am constantly obsessing about something going wrong.... Argh- anxious as a mood- huh? well, I agree with that as my temperament is anxious- LOL
hope today is better!

He's back; had a great time; is sore, as there was not enough room in car for all their stuff so he volunteered to leave his sleeping bad & air mattress at home ! ! !

He says his body is pretty sore. No wonder! I offered him a ride to work, which he gladly accepted.

So the what if's didn't happen! Will I remember next time? I doubt it! LOL Sigh. Well, maybe if it happens enough times I'll finally 'get it.'

hugs, Kath
