Hey Angela,
I'm glad to hear that I did something useful recently :)

Life here is good. I'm a little revved up (hypomanic?), and the cats have destroyed the bathroom. They pull the towels off of the rack, and get the bathmats wadded up and strew toilet paper across the floor. Then they proceed to snuggle into the mess of mats, towels, and paper, because it's next to the heating vent. Cats...

In other news, I have been trying to go on a walk every day. I found a lovely road nearby. It goes up into the country, through a forest, and after a few minutes you can't even hear the busy road nearby. The noise of a squirrel is audible from 100 yards away. It's enchanting.

Also, I bought a bottle of tart cherry juice from a discount store. I mixed it with club soda and a squeeze of lime. It was delicious.

I bought a couple of balls of purple merino wool, and am about 1/4 the way through knitting a hat. Just simple stuff, nothing fancy.

I am recovering from a cold, and am pissed off because I have had fluid in my left ear for over a month now, and it's totally clogged up with the cold-snot. I wonder if I can get a tube placed in there, because I don't like the muffled sound or the vertigo. got any ideas? I have been tempted to poke my eardrum out, but then I decide that it would be unprofessional.

okeydokey,
take care, you!

LOL - You break me up Llurspie. My "Inner Child" (who is quite vocal in my mind on occasion) has announced that she likes you & yer fun!!! She particularly like the 'cold snot' reference!! LOL

The "Big Me" likes the 'wouldn't be professional' to poke your eardrum out reference. LOL

Hugs & scold you dear catties for me.

luv, Kath

PS - what seems like a lifetime ago, I remember putting warm oil that had 'mullein' soaked in it, into my daughter's ear & it worked for earache, but clogged ear is different, I suspect.

I scold them all the time, but most often when I am petting them or feeding them. sometimes I yell and throw laundry at them. that works somewhat. They are just far too spoiled and know that I would never hurt them...

yeah, it's not infected (yet?) and it doesn't really ache or throb. It's just a nuisance.

I have to do homework now. bummer.

how's your weekend shaping up, kath?

I love it. Right now I just checked it out a couple times at the library, but I think I'm going to buy it.

haha cats are so funny. and annoying. but cute, so you can't stay mad at them.

I love walking. Your route sounds really nice. I just go through my neighborhood. And it's so cold here now so I'm thinking of joining a gym for the winter instead. Guess I'm not a die hard walker anymore.

I just learned how to knit a hat. a simple one too. Anywho, new yarn is so nice. Knitters unite!

Do eardrops help with that kind of thing? Vertigo...that reminds me of a dream I had last night. It's a recurring dream..I was in high school again, and I found myself singing in our school's chorus, even though I wasn't in chorus. And I was thinking to myself, "I thought I dropped chorus. What am I doing here?" And I had horrible vertigo. I was on the top riser and I just felt like I was going to fall.

Best show on TV in my opinion of course we tape it and watch while eat our 9pm dinners. Believe it or not clove of garlic pealed and whole in outer ear with warm cod liver oil and warm cloth over it cured a similar ear problem of mine in past. Could feel the garlic travel through body. Cured in about 20min. Trick to pop the fluid feeling put head down standing up and valsalva manuver works a lot of times. Phillipa
