The type of music.
I get 'exposed' to lots of different types of music & have for decades....my daughter was into alternative music from teen years, so I guess I rode along on the wave. She went to 'raves' etc & liked 'trance' music. Whereas my son is more into 'drum & bass' type electronic music & the newer 'dub-step'... a lot of which I don't like as much.

I was speaking to someone at the station about why North America has such a wonderful tradition of music, and why Europe has lost it (did it ever have it, I mean after 1850?).
I said that it was like Russian or Indian novels. You needed a social problem that was unresolved for people to reflect on. That and the survival of religion and religious music, heaven, hell, damnation and the rest. (For evidence of the truth of this, consider Joy Division in England, the last band with a religious education and sensibility. Here is Day of the Lords

It is good, nice vocals, very rhythmic. I spent the better part of my young adulthood intoxicated by Brit prog rock, Yes, Genesis, Deep Purple, King Crimson, ELP, Asia and the like. Also, one of my first loves was English. I loved riding her between my legs. I picked her up in 1972. She was beautiful and had a wonderful voice. I'm speaking of my Triumph Trophy 500, of course. ; )

you had me worried then. i had loads of british bikes i.e greaves , b.s.a.norton.but it was a japanese bike i hade me big crash on, a 750 watercooled susuki they called the kettle.i hit a car an both my ankles faced the wrong way i didnt no if i was comming or going .as i lay in the road a group of mini skirted babes came out of a factory an crowded round me . i was only 21 an not in pain but shock, as one had no pants on how will i forget that. manic666
