Telephone grrrs

Posted by Hygieia's Bowl on August 14, 2008, at 17:32:32

Do some folks who work in telemarketing do this from home? or possibly a daycare?

I could have sworn, before being able to leave blankness on my answering machine like usual, I heard a baby crying.... what the.....

It is today's irritation for me as despite all my best efforts to stop this, I received 9 calls from 9 AM thur 1 PM. What was to be my relaxing personal and environmental day was way too interrupted...

Back to the original - I wonder was it: "...bring your infant to work..." day somewhere or what?

I think I did that but I'm a-gonna check it out again. I even have the high ticket option on my phone plan for "unIDed calls"... any good that does as, no lie, one call from an 866 number was IDed as "Telemkt Call"....

And if you remember a long ago discussion, a question for you: You still got a supply of Lava for excellent exfoliation purposes? : )

Not neat anymore used to be when home with kids. As someone said to me the dust will be there after you die. Made sense to me. Phillipa

I've wondered this about bill collectors (so yes, now you all know my sordid secret). I've always assumed that these are the 'work from home' jobs you always see advertised. I get calls from the same collection agency from dozens of different people who have area codes from all over the county (as seen on my caller ID) and various background noises.

I'm neat because it's the way I function best and a sign I'm functioning well. It's good for me.
I realize not everyone feels that way.

T...

Nothing to worry about mentioning 'bill collectors'. I went through hell when I lost my last job and owed thousands in bills. I don't know about in the U.S. (you'd better check this out) but here in Canada the only thing creditors can take away is if say you owned a home, or 'big ticket' items if you miss payments on those particular things. I owed most of my money in credit card debt, but despite all the threats, it was wiped off my credit record after 6 years, and now I have a squeaky clean credit record. I can get credit pretty much wherever I want! It's like they wiped the slate clean.

One little piece of advice. Tell them, when they call, they got the wrong number! Or, get a new unlisted number.

Best wishes and good vibes to you..
Jay

Went to work for Lava, over the bar soap division. Sales, marketing, operations. I'm big time.

"Lava, scrubbing action when you really want it."

To quote your previously accurate assessment regarding Lava:

"....Fine toiletries are here to stay! : )..."

So, ya got job security - Seriously, I remember that line and I remember rolling in laughter at the time I read it. Still makes me laugh.

I'm very sorry to hear that - I know that's not the least bit helpful but I really am very sorry you're unwell.

I'm a praying person and I'm adding you to the list.
