I've got The Future and have played the computerized holes off of that song. Nobody writes like Cohen. I hear, I think depending on the outcome of a lawsuit, he's got about $150,000.00 to retire on.
That ain't right.

Love this verse:

I bite my lip.
I buy what Im told:
From the latest hit,
To the wisdom of old.
But Im always alone.
And my heart is like ice.
And its crowded and cold
In My Secret Life.

I am stunned about your revelation concerning his finances. That is horrible. What caused a lawsuit?

He can move in with me.

Pat

I have to go take an elderly lady to mass. I will be back in here later. I have a verse for you and I've lost it.

I'm not sure about the lawsuit but it probably has to do with royalties stolen by a record label. I'll see if I can find anything on the story.

"The suit paints an almost preposterous picture of Cohen as an artist who led a lavish celebrity lifestyle and then turned bitter and vindictive when he discovered the money had run out. For example, the suit quotes Lynch describing how Cohen demanded she discuss business matters while he soaked in a bubble bath, and how later he was somehow involved in calling a SWAT team to her home, where she was handcuffed and forcibly taken to a psychiatric ward while in her bathing suit."

I saw something similiar to this back in my college days of watching "All My Children". I loved the psych/swimsuit scene.

I am seriously speechless. I just cannot comprehend the deviousness of the people that he trusted. And I cannot seeing him live an elaborate, celebrity lifestyle. No one ever hears about him and I've always assumed that he was living a simple life.

He can move in with me.
