You seem to have insight. My therapist always tells me not to worry as long as I'm worried, because if I'm worried, I still have a firm grasp on reality.

To my knowledge, no one here is anything but very fond of you. You've built up a large fund of goodwill with your supportiveness over the years. On the board and in chat.
But that doesn't mean that people won't hurt you accidentally. Are you feeling hurt? Can I help?

If I become aware that someone is messing with you, I'd likely ask them to please stop. Very civilly of course.
I suppose it's only honest of me to admit that people aren't inclined to tell me of any intent to mess with anyone. Maybe it's the badge. But I prefer to think it's because they haven't any intent to mess with anyone.
They do tend to express their positive feelings toward others far more freely. That's all I've ever heard about you.
But obsidian, you are you no matter what anyone else does. Even in the very unlikely chance that someone tried to mess with you, that would have more to do with the someone than it would with you. I know how untrue it is that sticks and stones can never hurt you. I really do. It hurts when people mess with you. But it doesn't demean *you* in any way, and no one would think less of you. Although this is totally hypothetical, since to my knowledge no one is trying to hurt you.

And I completely understand the paranoid thing. But hey, you're one of US!!! Anybody bothers you, and they will have to deal with the collective will of Babble!!! But keep in mind, its very easy to misunderstand the written word, you have no body language or facial expressions to help you out. Plus, you never know when someone is having a bad day and taking it out on you. It sucks, but usually has nothing to do with you.
Just know that you are well liked here. I've always found you very cool.
