Video I found this morning

Posted by Racer on March 15, 2008, at 14:54:32

I just found this video of a band I saw years ago, singing a song I liked of theirs. Thought I'd share it with y'all.

Isn't it great to find music we've loved from before??

I love it when that happens.

This one always makes me laugh (warning, lyrics are slightly raunchy, but in a silly way).

I just recently went from dial up to cable - on dial up you couldn't watch ANY of these things! So please forgive my childish delight!

TC you naughty girl..;-) Primus rules! (Of course, their motto is 'We Suck', which is funny when 20,000 people yell it out live to them, as they did when I saw them open up for Rush back in the 90'deeezzzz.)

I'm so glad you liked it! I think its just one of those fun, silly songs you can't help but jump up and dance to!

I will always remember just dancing like crazy to this song at a friend's wedding - it was me, the bride, and a mutual friend, who were all good friends at the time. My friend's husband (who had gone out to the car to smoke a cigarette) suddenly came up and told us he had just heard on the radio that Princess Diana had died! I remember we all just stopped and looked at each other in wide eyed shock. Then I said, "If we think about this now, it will completely ruin the happy wedding mood, so we should think about this tomorrow". So all of a sudden we started dancing again like we had never heard it (the open bar didn't hurt things). Funny how a song can attach you to a memory like that.

Not sure if it was that song in Mrs. Doubtfire but if not, it was very similar.

The scene where all the kids are jumping around on tables, etc & all hell is breaking loose!!

First, this video kinda sucks so just listen to the song, and 2nd, I thought the above post would use an astrick in bastard, but either I inadvertantly turned the astricks (how in the hell do you spell that word?) off or f*rt is worse than bastard.

Last night I saw a couple of US acts. Lovely ways of speaking.

Michelle Shocked, explaining the introductory music said something like "I'm not really religious. Are you here? We went to the Woolworths thing and it was closed!" (Good Friday)

And I saw Seasick Steve

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TyQuBhb9t9g

He was so graceful and funny.

I should have stayed to watch Mavis Staples, but by 8pm I needed to get to bed.

He was so cool.

For some, at least, of his life he had been homeless, I don't know for how long.
