I don't know what I've done, but I know what you've done: you've made my day.

Heck, you might even have made my week!

Thank you.

(And you're pretty cool, too.)

> I don't know what I've done,

It's about the tactful way you maintain law and order in these here territories. Bob pays the bills, Racer runs the household.

Actually, I love Dinah, and 10derheart, and gg, too. It takes guts and hard work to be a PB deputy. I love strong women. Womyn power! I hope Hillary becomes president. The world will be a better place with more womyn leaders. Fewer wars and greater awareness of global warming.

I love everybody here on Psycho-Babble. In my heart, I feel you are all my brothers and sisters. But today, I especially love you, RACER, after reading some of your posts.

Dr. Bob certainly has spent much time handpicking and training the women for the job over the years. It shows w/ the current Fearless Fab Four Female Deps: Racer, Dinah, 10der, and Auntie Mel.....GG stepped down last yearas well as CS....we're still unsure whatever became of medlib.

what a kind post of you to make Jamal.

I conjure the same imagery sometimes at references to female deputies. Or maybe a backup group. Dr. Bob and the Deputies. I don't think of myself as a female deputy at all. Just a deputy. I find myself a bit uncomfortable at times at having my gender pointed out, as if that was my qualification for the position.

I don't really think of myself as a feminist, but I guess I do wonder why gender would be used as a descriptor more than, for example, hair color would be.

I'm not saying that in particular to you, Jay, or to anyone else. It's just that your subject line reminded me.

in the vein of many great backup groups

GK and The Pips
SR and The Miracles
DR and The Supremes

when there are Four of you and you all happen to be Female? alliteration takes over :p

We all happen to be many things. Female is just one of them.

I feel uncomfortable thinking of myself in those terms.

Please be sensitive to the feelings of others. She just said:

> > I find myself a bit uncomfortable at times at having my gender pointed out, as if that was my qualification for the position.

But please don't take this personally, this doesn't mean I don't like you or think you're a bad person.

I encourage anyone who has questions about this or about posting policies in general, or is interested in alternative ways of expressing themselves, to see the FAQ:

http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/faq.html#civil
http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/faq.html#enforce

Follow-ups regarding these issues should be redirected to Psycho-Babble Administration. They, as well as replies to the above post, should of course themselves be civil.

Thanks,

Bob
