10 year reunion ~drunk dancing triggers~

Posted by karen_kay on August 20, 2007, at 12:40:13

yeah, i got drunk and danced.

my 10 year high school reunion was this last weekend. everyone had to look at my name tag to recognize who i was (i was about 4 inches shorter and 80 lbs heavier in highschool). they weren't sure if they went to school with me or mister kk, until they read my tag.

i wore a pretty dress and everyone else was wearing jeans (i thought i was going to be crowned prom queen and came prepared!!! even thought about pulling up sitting on the top of my car waving :) i'm very serious!), including mister kk.

i hadn't seen any of these people since graduation day, and it felt pretty great seeing them 10 years later (especially the ones who found the 80 lbs i lost. oh, i'm horrible but i never claimed to be nice!).

honestly though, they were all very nice. and i was superduper excited to go. it's strange seeing people who still have the same faces, even 10 years later. and i thought for sure i wouldn't know a single face, but i knew them all, even with my blasted memory!!!

and i even danced (and ti was horrible, horrible, horrible!!!!!!) but mister kk danced horribly with me, on purpose so i wouldn't feel so bad dancing so bad.

but, i did have the worst hangover of my life. double boo! (i wish i had pictures of my horrible dancing, so i could show jsut how bad i am.)

Reunions are fun aren't they? I went to my 25 a couple years ago. Good for you for being brave enough to go, you tall, slender sprite you!

i'd have thought you to only be 25 years old woman! strange!!!!

it's strange how people still have the exact same looks on their faces though. all of their faces looked the same. the guy that was always drunk in class was drunk before he even got there... the girls that could dance were already dancing... i guess some things never change, eh? i was voted most changed in highschool, and i changed yet again. i also was voted worst car (and i'll not even talk about all teh car troubles i have...).
