Not only has he been phoning, etc & being proactive, but tonight he went to see a place to share (first one he's looked at) and

GOT
IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am SO ****ing thankful that I feel like screaming with glee!!!!!!!!
It's sharing with some other guys of ages varying from gray hair to 18. The guy he met offered him a beer, which my son was happy about.
He said it's not super clean, so he won't cause problems by not being super clean himself. He can have friends over any time. They smoke & one guy smokes weed.
In other words my son's lifestyle will fit in.
It's a great start towards him leading a normal life. These are at least somewhat normal people, unlike the friend who my son was sharing with before, where all kinds of people would drop in to do whatever kind of drugs.
I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO relieved.
Oh My Gosh.
Thank you all for supporting me. I feel like I can take a huge sigh of relief.
YAY. Now I'm going to watch a movie - Disappearances, sort of a modern western - with hubby.

Aww, this has been such a hard ride for you Kath,
I'm so happy that this is a moment of brightness. Save it up, okay?!You've been such a constant and supportive presence in his life. When he gets things figured out, I hope he can reflect back and say "thanks Mom for sticking by me"
In the meanwhile- thank YOU Kath, for sharing your story of committment. It's really positive to see a mom who is so devoted, especially when so many of us feel that hole in our lives...

Hi Jay,
we had a great time!!! The weather wasn't the greatest - rain Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue - mostly drizzly, so it wasn't totally dreadful. From Wed onwards there was at least some sun. I think you were in that area also though, right? Wasn't that SOME STORM on - hmm, I think it was Wed during the night - REALLY close lightning & LOUDDDDDDDD thunder!!!
Anyway, we had a good time & on Sunday the waves were big & great fun to play in!
