My poor back is ow-ing from the sofa bed and the long drive. Getting away for a quick visit was nice, even though I'm still in a Remeron-fog. Went up to 30mg last week and I want to sleep!! Didn't mesh well with the early rising in-laws. By this morning I had started to feel a teeny bit better - oops! Time to go home - waddaya know.

I like my new pdoc and am doing a daily mood chart to determine whether I need to take a stabilizer. Novel idea, that one. Interesting that I got my bipolar dx over 3 years ago and this is the first time a doctor has suggested I actually keep track of anything like how I feel from day to day. What a concept! I hope, I hope, I hope the right decision will be to not take a mood stabilizer, because I really think that, I take altogether too many pills on a daily basis already. Migraines, blood pressure, hormones, depression, anxiety - there's a pill for everything in my cabinet. I'd rather take a walk every day, and have my doctor tell me that's the prescription (which I fully expect him to do). Thank goodness I am lucky enough to have a beautiful beach down the road to take that walk on.

I think that I have a lot of writing to do this week. Lots to think about first.

Sure was fast. So remeron is the new med? Anxiety gone? And walking on the beach are there shells on that beach? Collecting is fun if they are good ones. But make sure you wear a good sunscreen with that itst bitsy polka dot bikini. And remember to shave your legs and whatever. Good luck Love Phillipa

I started Remeron about 8 or 9 weeks ago with the old doctor when the Cymbalta pooped out, and the new pdoc raised the dosage from the starting 15mg to 30mg. It does nothing for anxiety but my depression is improving. For that I'm back to my daily .5mg of xanax, which I have to split or I'll fall right to sleep. .25mg seems to be just right for taking away the heebie jeebies. It's so frustrating to be tired and sleepy from the Remeron and then full of anxiety at the same time. Horrible feeling, really. As if you've pulled an all-nighter and are trying to stay awake at the wheel while driving. Exhausted and hyped up on adrenalin at the same time.

And there's nothing teensy about my bathing suit, Phillipa. I went one piece a long time ago. Thank goodness for Lands End tugless tanks.

(I wear SPF 30 all over.)

Our beaches are pretty good for shells - it depends on the time of year and whether there are storms to bring new ones in. These days my beachcombing is more for the human contributions to the shore, though. I take an empty plastic bag and put on a pair of gloves to pick up rubbish while I walk one way; then dispose of it and enjoy the view on the way back. It works for me and makes me feel like I'm helping save my corner of the planet.

Ditto. :) Though I gave a try to the swim mini this year, so I'm back to a "2 piece". Love the tummy coverage of this "2 piece" and the butt and thigh coverage of the skirt. And I found that the longer silhouette with the skirt is more flattering. All praise Lands End. ;)
