Really. I can't find it in the dictionary.
I think it's a word!
It must be, because I think it's written on my forehead!!!!
It must disappear when I look in the mirror.
I'm buying one of those mirrors for your face, ya' know, they are lighted and magnify and stuff. But, until then, I'm at the mercy of people afraid to tell me what's on my face.
You know those kind of peeps .. the ones you've worked w/ all day long w/ a streak of blue ink across one whole side of your face and they never bothered to tell you. Those people!
Myself, I appreciate being told if there is something foreign or odd on my face, or 'about my face', for that matter.
Butt, back to the front. No, I mean front to the back.
Actually, what I really mean is back to the top, to the subject of this post.
How do ya' spell 'schmuck'?
And, yes, I do know 'the meaning', quite well unfortunately. Butt, don't tell any1 because it's a secret. Some secret huh? Written on my forehead! Hahaha. The laugh's on me. Get it? On me? I know. Very funny.

Schmuck - I think you're ok on the spelling there.
I'm all too familiar with the word, unfortunately.
When I'm feeling like one, I think I might have been put on this earth to help certain others feel oh so much better about themselves. Because if there isn't someone out there who certain other people can talk amongst themselves about - about how pathetic, stupid, weird or what a pushover they are, then they might not feel as special as they seem to act when they are passive-aggressively tormenting this person by their exclusion, abuse, mocking or cocky sneers. And while they are doing this: Darling WorryGirl would you be so kind as to help me out here? WorryGirl: No problem.Wow, am I angry today or what.

If it takes a little anger to reach certifiably perfect humor, so be it! ROFL!
Good to know I'm not alone!

You spelled it correctly. According to Wiki, it's Yiddish for penis. Also, a fool.

OMG .. It means that too? Knew I was staying away from wiki for some reason.
Thought Spock always seemed a bit 'reluctant', or, was it 'excited', about going into the transporter!(?)

It's a great language for insulting people in! So Amazing in its scope! I had no idea what I was missing, until it was pointedly pointed out to me.
bested regards

That would be Scotty, of the starship fleet of Enterprise, not Scottie; my mistake.
So, go ahead and 'Beam me up Scotty!'
I now want to go where no man or woman has gone before, .. and hide.

Being a Yankee was very familiar with the word but didn't want to bring up religion. In CT it wasn't insulting really just if someone did something you didn't like that's what they were called. Love Phillipa

Nice to meet you, too!
I joined about 5 years ago, but started posting again a month or so ago.Maybe I should become more mashuginac (probably not a word), to distance myself from the other.
Thank God a two-hour canoe trip helped release some of my anger today.

huh. Seems like I may have known that once, and then I forgot.
That really makes some of the exchanges in the movie, "Grumpy Old Men" more...er...interesting.
I wonder...yeah...somehow I gotta think at least Walter Matthau probably *knew* his character was calling Jack Lemmon's character that anatomical part, as well as a fool <grin>
Makes one of the funniest movies I've ever seen even better.
ps - Hi Lar!!
