I've recently gotten into an impulsive habit of buying lotteries in the past month or so. So far I've bought one $10 lottery, probably 4 $2 lotteries and 2 $4 instant scratch and win things. I've spent close to $30 and I haven't won a thing.
I know about the odds. They aren't good LOL. I gotta stop wasting my money. OK, from now on, I will never buy another instant scratch and win card and I will not spend more than $2 a month on lotteries.
I keep dreaming of winning the lottery so I can take my Mom to China, but I can save my money to do that.

On second thought, I think I will just give up on the lottery altogether. Odds are 1: 13,983,816 for a lottery choosing 6 numbers out of 49.

I think that's wise, Deneb. It's really easy to talk yourself into buying just a few tickets when they look like it's a small investment. Those odds are way too high for me!!scratchie

I play the lottery with the understanding that I am paying to dream, not to win.
I never buy more than one ticket because the difference between one in a snowball chance and two is not all that great. :) And I never buy the smaller dollar value tickets, because that's not a good enough dream to pay for.
