Ever since I was really young I've wanted to be a dancer at Disney World at Cinderella's Castle. :) I even had a few delusions of auditioning a year or two ago, but my dance training really is sparse and not in jazz. But thats what I want to be!

That, and I'd just like to be happy. Anyone got any extra laying around?

I love to be Glenda the good witch in the Wizard of Oz. It may not always be practical to arrive places in a bubble, so I'd settle for being a teacher. I've never had a career as I had kids when I was very young, and since then I've only done unskilled stuff like waitressing/bar work, which although fun it would be great to re-train and have a career. I hope to do this when the kids are a little older.
How about you Sleepgirl - what do you wanna be?

I don't know exactly what they are called, but a good-deed doer. You know those people who do things like donate money anonymously to build a children's wing at a hospital, or build a shelter for abused women where they could have a safe place to stay with their kids and get job retraining, etc., or a centre for youth at risk. Just anything to do something good for others who need it, without being recognized for it. Alternatively, I would like to run an animal shelter and take in all the strays and abused animals and give them a place where they could just run and play and have a good time. Silly, huh.

All I want to be right now is Mother of healthy, happy children & almost-Mother-in-law of a healthy, happy almost-daughter-in-law.

I guess I'm thinking more of others right now. Then again, if they're happy - I'd be happy.

well....I have a brilliant idea
you could be a back up for my alarm clock
a "wake up fairy" sounds a lot more pleasant ;-)

Thanks, - I've decided to just relax this afternoon.

Had hypnosis with my fam doctor this morning, then the initial hour-long meeting with Jay, his case worker & nurse from the Mental Health association, hubby, myself & his GF.

Now am going to relax the rest of the day. Read my book, drink tea.

thx for thinking of me!

hugs, Kath

At something of a tangent...

Auden: "Why do you play patience all the time?"
Eliot: "I suppose it's the closest thing to being dead."

I did want to be a priest (not in fashion these days, but these days suck) or maybe a psychotherapist.

One day I'll crack up in Woolworths, trying to work out what I want, and how you find out what that is, and be carted out.

I was talking about this at the station (as you do).
'How on earth are you supposed to know what you want?',
and my friend said
'You convene the policy making committee and propose a resolution, and ensure the compliance committee supervises it.'
'Make sure you have a seconder?'
'Yes.'
That relaxed me a little and convinced me I was among friends.

I see it's WHO do you want to be.
I shall have a think.

Who YOU are is a lovely thing for sure Declan. (sleepygirl thinks warmly)

cracking up in Woolworth's eh?
...I suppose it's as good a place as any for cracking up, perhaps while looking for socks or something like that, when you realize there is no pair of socks that seems "right" and your psyche cracks under the strain of it all.

it's a loaded question I think
your friend is hilarious :-D

yours is lovely. i'd like that. at least the patience of one.

i think i like kid's life (or the sound of it) a whole lot. he seems preety strong. and patient. and rarely swears. and so the opposite of me.

then again, gab. wowsa, she's way out of my league. i couldn't even pretend to be her.

hmmm, i think i'd like to be me. with kid's qualities. gabbi's class. zen's elegance. dinah's patience. ad's sense of humor. mother teresa's generosity (bill gate's too). my ex's dad's humbleness. my sister's beauty. my duckie's mind (wow! i'd love to be learning like that every second and full of wonder!). nieces' giggles and laughter. ok, and all of my good parts. a combo of all of the above. is that even possible?

oh, and my husbands smarts. kid's pretty good at math though. (hey, i'm not compairing here. not at all. just finding things in everyone i'd love to have)

No way!! Don't even think about it!! Don't you dare! I won't allow it. You are absolutely perfect the way you are (a fact which I am sure you are aware of). You're sweet, funny, VERY friendly, caring, compassionate, smart, a shameless flirt, and drop dead gorgeous!! Don't mess with perfection!! If I could change anything about you (notice how this is about me now).....maybe a little less crazy sometimes.... no more poopie moods....a little more peace of mind......a little less worry.......no more crying, unless you just want to.......no more car wrecks or house fires (I warned you about smoking in bed) and just a Cleaveresque life for you and the Beav. You're a doll, doll!

Peace and Happiness
kid

i always feel bad when i interrupt threads like this but....

i always thought mr kk liked me better when i'm crazy like this. i was like this when we got married. he learned lask night that i used to bust out free-style and i did to a song last night. he loved it. i think that's the side of me he enjoys the most and that's what he means when he always says 'i want my wife back.' does that outweigh the fact i almost hit him this morning?

his new nickname for me is betty. i got my haircut and he thinks it looks like betty page (oh shoot, is that how you spell her name kid? i've never been good at spelling anyway.) she has sort of a naughty streak to her too :) when i was crazy before we used to dance (gasp, me dance?) i wasn't any good then either. and my car aways broke down then too, only i'd stand outside the gas station and we'd dance to the stray cats and prince. why are those memories so fond?

thank you so the reassurance. you're perfect. no smoking. healthy. working out. hey, i'm still taking vitamins. no, not 'vitamins' but real vitamins. and drinking liquid vitamin c. and eating apples and oranges and bananas oh my! you'd be proud. though right now, i can't seem to force myself to eat much more than that. yesterday though, i ate a whopper, fries, pizza, a turtle (the chocolate kind) and more junk. after three days of eating only the fruit mentioned before. could be the meds, could be the moods.

kid, you're great. have i ever told you that before? oh, and mr kk is checking into a gym membership for me. now, i just need someone to ride me (hardey har har) til i go. will you do that for me? if so, then i won't go a changin.... except maybe my hair (but boy oh boy does it look fantastic! i can even wear the darker lipstick now! it really brings out these brown eyes of mine. wowsa, i'm stunning!)
