Be careful what you wish for.

15 years ago might be almost when you stopped enjoying yourself.

So anyway, I gather you get to take your current mind back with you, but get a new body and brain?

Sign me up too Phillipa. Only I don't want to go back quite that far. Maybe ten years! :)

And only if I get to take my current mind with me and get a new body and brain as Declan suggested. :)

Regards,

Yeah, on balance I'd skip it to. What is it...."I was born, and once was enough"?

It will be sad to leave this existence, it has been very beautiful, but also much too painful.

Phillipa - hmmmmmm. Still not sure I'd want to add more years to my 'here' time.

Declan - I tend to agree. I'm feeling pretty overburdened right about now.

How pleasant it is to find someone to agree with me.
Hasn't happened for ages :)
Do you remember when life was at least painful and enchanting rather than painful and not?
That's what people mean about being young, isn't it?

Both of you Kath and Declan pick a time when you were the happiest and go to there and then from there and forward you can make it a point not to repeat your mistakes and boy have I made many. Love Phillipa

Sorry - feeling so TIRED of it all...... » Declan

I can't even remember when life was painful & enchanting!!! Maybe that's what they mean about being young. I doubt that my 22 yr old thinks it's painful and enchanting right about now.

I feel really sort of tired of life these days. Not that I want to be dead or anything like that, but ya know - I'm just tired of life. I feel really worn down; worn out. I don't even FEEL like being cheerful!! And then I know this ordeal with my son is nowhere NEAR being over & I actually wonder if I have the mental/emotional energy to deal with one......more.....thing!!

:-) there - that is a VERY little smile & that's about all I can do.

Kath - oh - I guess I can send you a hug also!! That I can manage. I can usually manage hugs.

Shoot Phillipa - that would mean SUPER, NON-FAILING, MISTAKE-PROOF birthcontrol!!

I love both my children dearly. But, you know, if I knew how much pain there would be for years & years & how helpless I'd feel to help them, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, I would not have had children. I love them to pieces & would never want them to be hurt or die, etc, but it is sometimes - or feels like - more than I can take.

There - as Deneb said the other day - I'm a horrible person!!! I feel like a horrible person. I know I'm not I guess, but it seems like a horrible thing to admit.

Kath I so relate to what you just said. No it never ends oldest is 41. I was only l9 when I had her. But I would still have them and pick the age of my 30's when I went back to school and 40's when working as a nurse. I was very happy even when problems were there. Love Phillipa
