That's always so nice. I'm glad for you. In another three or four months, you might need to ask me again, though. :)

:-)

My mood picks up a lot when the days get brighter. But in a couple of months I'll need to be reminding myself too because it gets too jolly hot over here. Hot and dry, hot and dry. It is perfect now but I don't even think it is spring yet! Eep!

Hi Estella,

Don't you just love it when you can come home from work and sit outside and it's still sunny? Alas, where I am, summer is dwindling down, but my flowers still look great and the tomatoes are finally ripening.

Summer is coming? You must live on the bottom half of the world.

That would be very weird. Summertime in December, wow.

I love the long days too. I hate days when I don't see the Sun.

Enjoy the season!

The days are still pretty short (I think it is still winter officially) but we have communal morning teas / lunches / afternoon teas which are outside all year round rain or shine as a matter of tradition. It is actually lovely being outside at the moment and even the non smokers have stopped complaining :-) My mood is so much better for the sun :-)

Well... That is relative. We think you guys are on the bottom :-)

> That would be very weird. Summertime in December, wow.

Not so weird for us... I think it is weird having summer during June / July. That is the depths of winter, clearly ;-)

That being said people do tend to find it funny that we head to the beach for christmas / new year and have bar-b-q's and you can buy cards with santa on a surfboard. the funniest thing is all the fake snow around christmas time :-)

Thanks Deneb, I'll try and enjoy it. It actually gets a little too hot here for my tastes. Its got nothing on Arizona, apparantly, but it is still a bit too hot for me! Scares me a little that the weather is about perfect NOW. I mean it isn't even spring yet officially. It is beautiful though and people are starting to haul out their t-shirts. Still a little cold at night but given that it isn't even spring yet. And it hardly ever rains. Of course... I never really thought about it but that is precisely why Australia has troubles with a shortage of water. Because it doesn't really rain :-) It is wonderful for day to day though, especially when you bike / walk everywhere. I don't miss the rain at all though most people are happy when it rains. I'm not used to that. I still complain when it rains.

:-)

Estella I'm complaining now as it's pouring rain outside now. And for another few days. No bike riding. Wahhhh. I want my summer back now. I don't want to share. Love Phillipa

I'm so excited, the days are already so warm, it's fantastic 24c (75f) in winter, it is literally unheard of here where I live, in Melbourne Australia (It's one of the colder places in Australia). I have a funny feeling though that it's lolling us into a false sense of security, but for now, I'm happy. We desperatly need rain, water restrictions started today which is very scary for this time of year. p.s Jan send me an e-mail and let me know things are going?

We had the warmest 1st day of spring ever recorded in history 26c (about 80f) it was glorious, it just keeps getting better and it's warm again today. Woo hoo. For all you people in the northern hemisphere we take our seasons from the 1st of the month, not the 21st. I promise we'll take take care of it for you. Happy Autumn!!

Fall has fallen.

We;ve had the darkest grayest dismalest nine days we've had for a long time.

Maybe it's the vestiges of Ernesto, now.

I'd like to see the sun for a while.

Aw :-(
Still... We don't get fall like you guys get fall...
Natives (in NZ anyways) don't lose their leaves (because the ground doesn't freeze) so fall isn't literal. In fact... I only figured the literal reading a few months back.

Lol.

We will look after summer good :-)
