I have been running

Posted by lynn971 on August 24, 2006, at 19:30:42

I have not been to church in a while. I have been running the roads. (Not staying home). I starting smoking again, and I drink on the weekends.

I think that I am trying to stay so busy because I do not want to think. I think that I am running from anxiety. I dont know if I like my behavior, but I think I am just trying to survive.

Luv,
Lynn

Boy can I relate to you. With the running I can't stay home for a minute. Drinking and smoking no. Has the effexor stopped working? Love Phillipa

Lynn,
I'm sorry you're feeling so poorly. Do you have any sense of what you're anxious about? What's going on in your life? You don't sound like you're doing so well, but you could be doing worse. Is there something that you can do to keep yourself from getting worse? I found that talking to someone really helps. If you're not ready to see a therapist, maybe you can tell us what's going on.

best to you,
-ll

Well I was going to tell you to wear a good sports bra, but that's not what you're talking about... ;~}

Maybe the book my T has me reading would help you too. "Capitvating" by John & Staci Eldredge.

Thanks,

The anxiety is usually about health issues. Isnt it funny that I worry about my health and started smoking again. I will quit again. I have not found a Psy. doc yet. I went to one, but it ended up being a horrible experience. I will look some more.

luv,

I dont think that the effexor stopped working, I just dont think that it ever helped 100%. Some people go through life without a worry. If a bad situation arises, they say, "I put that in God's hands and I am not worried." Gah, That is how I want to be.

Luv ya,
lynn
