Not for the faint of heart.

It's set in the 80s about a flashy stockbroker who goes around killing people he meets.

The movie is complimented with exaggerated stereotypes of a highly paid exec.

For example, during the movie, the killer stockbroker constantly feels jealous of some of his fellow stockbrokers over silly things (and ends up killing them over his jealousy) like layout of a businesscard (his friend businesscard has a better design than his) or whose apartment has a better view.

It's really a cool but cold movie if you don't mind the blood and guts scenes, which there are a lot of. Some parts are funny, some clever, most gorey and bloody.

It's the only horror movie I've ever liked. Not the typical "teenagers camping out in the woods" crap.

Hello Matt
Yeah, I dunno, I have mixed feelings. It's kinda largely (in an ironical way) about brand names...the shirt, the suit, the watch, the business card, and on and on and on. In one way I thought this was relevant and interesting (if not entertaining) social commentary. On the other hand the gory bits had you wondering if they were fantasy (no problem there) or reality (big problem, because it seemed so unjustified).
It was a while ago now.

I felt the same way, I didn't know what was fantasy and what was reality. I love horror flicks and stuff that's vague and weird like that, but it seems like, although I thought this movie was 'good', I didn't actually LIKE it. I've since heard that the book is REALLY good. I've been meaning to look for it at halfprice books. I figure since I seem to like the story but not the movie, maybe I'll like the book better.

A film I loved where it's hard to work out which is which is Mullholland Drive.

I'm also a big Tim Burton fan. I think he should be directing the Harry Potter movies. That would give them the darkness they deserve.
