ICFMRS (What's your slang?)

Posted by corafree on July 22, 2006, at 12:18:08

I CAN'T FIND MY RED SHOELACE!

My slang for ... where's my glasses, what happened last night, why did I do that, my brain won't work, ... and other forms of confusion.

I CAN'T FIND MY RED SHOELACE

STILL!

(I heard a bystander whisper, "OMG ... She's still saying that!")

I can't put my finger on what is bothering me today. Whoa ... I just got dizzy! Something really must be missing! I'm a zombie muttering my, now world-renowned acronym! (Oh that feels a little better!)

Oh, and, can we blame others for everything today? The heck w/ being noble because ICFMRS!

Okay, tks, got it!

If I'd misplaced something when married or had boyfriend around, they'd start going, "Okay what can't you find?", or "Where'd you last leave it?", or "What are you looking for again?", and I think I got so sick of hearing them talking and having them getting in my way while I was looking for whatever, I just decided to stick w/ 'red shoelace' (made me laugh) no matter what it was, and they'd get so confused, they'd go away and leave me alone so I could find 'whatever it was' I'd misplaced!

Today it seems to be my intelligence that's missing!

Last eve I was thinking it would be fun to start a thread about people's favorite acronyms, but obviously I messed up and said 'slang' here and now I'm prob' more confused than the rest of you.

I hate to admit my own lack of imagination, but RFN. Really Fng Nuts. My aunt started its use.

Slang? When something happens and I'd say Son of a [female dog], I say "Son of a Bad Word." When I'd say [excrement], I say strange things like "Shunonga." (Don't ask. Even I don't understand where that one came from, but it's here now.) "Crumblies." "Bad WORD!"

Sadly, I sometimes find myself, when I'm alone and stub my toe, or drop something on my toe, or whatever, saying, "Bad WORD!!!" instead of something more viscerally satisfying.

I used to know a woman who said, "Oh, GARDENSEED!"

I don't give a flying fudge

I don't give a rat's (censored uncivil word)

etc.

:o)

lol...my bf got my daughter saying "son of a beach" because he thought it was soooo funny!

I convinced him that it wasn't appropriate. At least not for kindergarteners...

After i became a mom, i started saying things like "oh my goodness" and "gosh"...

I still think it's hilarious.

When I am without daughter, it's back to pottymouth again...because otherwise i would sound really funny saying things like "gee golly!" to my twenty-something friends.

Personally i like Sponge-Bob's "oh tartar sauce!"

I love cartoons.
