prizes for forum participation

This poor little discussion board for psychology researchers is getting so little participation, the administrator is actually offering PRIZES to people for starting & joining the most threads, sharing the most links, and giving the most encouragement to others!! Gift certificates for $180 and $45 worth of books!

Sounds ripe for a hostile takeover.

It looks ripe, too. There's nothing there.

The gears in the brain are working.......

The forum has had exactly *4* new threads in the last MONTH started by anyone other than the administrator, and in those threads a whopping total of *1* replies!!

I think Babblers could seriously be in the runnings there. The guidelines page doesn't say you have to be a researcher to join. (And I just did.) It just asks that you read "The Research Companion" book before posting.

This is the end of the thread.
