I don't understand why so many people always have to be right and will correct a person immediately. Even if it's petty? So it could be brought up at another time. Or if it's on the Board Babblemail or if their light is not on ask them to turn it on and why. So many people don't know what Babblemail is. Good topic for someone to start a thread on how to turn it on and what it is. But back to my question if the person chooses not to turn it on then it would be okay to correct them graciously on the thread. Love Phillipa ps does this make sense or am I rambling?

I wonder what made you come to the conclusion that I *always* have to be right? I apolgize frequently for mistakes I've made.I was simply letting you know how things worked om that regard Babble. You thought it was important enough to bring up, and so I thought you might like to know why it happened.
No pettiness intended. I don't take any pride in my thread reposting knowledge.I like it when people let me know if something isn't as I'd thought.

Hey TC,
Phillipa just means when you have Babblemail "on" (when you register you can check/uncheck a box to have it on/off)that your name at the top of each post is in "blue." (lights up)
So your name is your 'light'...hey, I like that...it's spiritual, I think.... :-)
I don't think you need to be educated any more or less than the rest of us. I think you are fine just as you are. I think we all teach each other so *many* things here...
I think...some people think I think too much ! ;-)

Since I'm old and thick and never get jokes. If your name is lit up in blue you have babblemail on . If your name is black you have to go to the reigistration page and click yes to do you want to receive Babblemail. An E-mail of sorts . No one reads them except you and the other party. A lot of people excange personal E-mails that way. Then lets say you get blocked you can E-mail someone you know from babble if you want to talk to them. And if you want no one to contact you click no and your name will be black and no one can contact you. But your's is blue so it's on. If I hadn't had my husband cut this tempory cast on my arm I could never have written all this it would have taken all night. Love Phillipa ps if it was a joke see what I mean? I am thick headed.

But recently, I've been in a holding pattern on the meds while waiting to get in to see a new doc, so my interest has transferred more to Social. And it seems that Social quite naturally leads to Administration for some strange reason ;)
Anyway, the tenor of the meds board seems much more relaxed from an inter-personal point of view. I find myself being mostly a spectator in Social and Administration, only occasionally offering what I hope is a constructive comment.
If I want to duke it out with someone, I'll hit a political thread on Fark. That's certain to drive me back to the meds board.
