Mouse...

Posted by Gee on December 15, 2005, at 23:19:42

Over the past 24 hours, I seem to have gained a mouse who lives somewhere around my closet. Now I dont' have a very big room, and this mouse is on the side with my bed. This morning I heard it, and I freaked when the sound of him chewing didn't stop because then it became evident it wasn't just my mind like I had hoped. After studying a couple friends came over and we found that he had chewed through a package of soup I had in my room. Luckily it was dried stuff. But there was also tons of poop. So I know he's around. My friends looked and looked but we didn't find him anywhere. But then, just now, I heard him AGAIN.

How am I suppose to sleep? How did he get here? I live on the second floor, in a small room, and my door is almost always closed.

I hate mice. I called housing to get matinence up here today, and THEY DIDN"T COME. Tomorrow, someone better get up here.

oh and I can't set a trap because I leave in a few days, and a rotting body wouldnt be a nice smell to come home too

They sell little have-a-heart traps for mice. I use the Live Catch Mouse Trap. http://www.victorpest.com/live_mouse_traps.htm Put a little tiny bit of cheese or peanut butter (or soup mix, I guess) in the back. When the mouse goes in the door closes. Set it up now, and see if you catch him before you leave. If you do catch him, just carry the trap to someplace far away from where you don't want him to go, open the trap and shake him out.

If you don't catch him before you have to leave, then pick up the trap, and try again when you get back.

I hate killing them - so gory! This way I just move them from where I don't want them to be to someplace where they can be.

I usually catch one the first night I leave the trap out.

That's a good idea

I don't like killing. We've named him Roger, and he's outta my room now. I saw him run behind the stove. Maybe he'll go away with my roommate!

And he's gone! I haven't heard or seen him all day today. As fast as he can, he left.
