Now thanks to Nick. It's Your're Beautiful by James Blunt. You can Google it and a video plays and shows two versions. One is an unsecure site. But it is my favorite one he is one a beach takes off his clothes and jumps into the water. The other one is like the song a girl in a subway. Fondly, Phillipa

At the risk of sounding like a girlieman, the first gift I gave my wife was the "Beth Nielsen Chapman" album. Years later "All I have" was the song we danced to at our reception. I love that song.

Right now my favourite song is 'Girl Anachronism' by the Dresden Dolls. If you google them you can listen to their song. I also love "Good Day" by them as well.

And "Little Plastic Castle" by Ani Defranco

I could go on and on and on

King of Pain by the Police, but sung by Alanis Morrissette
I just love that song. Hold on now, I'll get the lyrics....there we go :-)

There's a little black spot on the sun today
That's my soul up there
It's the same old thing as yesterday
That's my soul up there
There's a black hat caught in a high tree top
That's my soul up there
There's a flag pole rag and the wind won't stop
That's my soul up there

I have stood here before in the pouring rain
With the world turning circles running 'round my brain
I guess I'm always hoping that you'll end this reign
But it's my destiny to be the king of pain

There's a fossil that's trapped in a high cliff wall
There's a dead salmon frozen in a waterfall
There's a blue whale beached by a springtide's ebb
There's a butterfly trapped in a spider's web

There's a king on a throne with his eyes torn out
There's a blind man looking for a shadow of doubt
There's a rich man sleeping on a golden bed
There's a skeleton choking on a crust of bread

There's a red fox torn by a huntsman's pack
There's a black winged gull with a broken back
There's a little black spot on the sun today
It's the same old thing as yesterday

I have stood here before in the pouring rain
With the world turning circles running 'round my brain
I guess I always thought you could end this reign
But it's my destiny to be the king of pain......

I'll always be king of pain..............

It changes daily. Today it's "I Got Love if You Want it" by Slim Harpo (though it's been done by at least 20 other people since he wrote it).

Yesterday it was a 17th century madrigal called "Weep Weep Mine Eyes" by John Wilbye.

Tomorrow: who knows?

I don't think I can really talk about a favourite if it changes. But I don't have all that many CDs; I tend to listen to the same stuff over and over again.

Hmm, to hard to choose but this one came to mind; She's Got a Way - Billy Joel.

She's got a way about her
I don't know what it is
But I know that I can't live without her

She's got a way of pleasin'
I don't know what it is
But there doesn't have to be a reason
Anyway

She's got a smile that heals me
I don't know why it is
But I have to laugh when she reveals me

She's got a way of talkin'
I don't know what it is
But it lifts me up when we are walkin'
Anywhere

She comes to me when I'm feelin' down
Inspires me without a sound
She touches me and I get turned around

She's got a way of showin'
How I make her feel
And I find the strength to keep on goin'

She's got a light around her
And everywhere she goes
A million dreams of love surround her
Everywhere

She comes to me when I'm feelin' down
Inspires me without a sound
She touches me and I get turned around

She's got a smile that heals me
I don't know why it is
But I have to laugh when she reveals me

She's got a way about her
I don't know what it is
But I know that I can't live without her
Anyway

Couldn't name only one. Listening to reggae currently.

Untold Stories, Buju Banton
__

While I'm living
Thanks I'll be giving
To the most high, you know

Chorus
I am living while I'm living to the father I will pray
Only he knows how we get through every day
With all the hike in the price arm and leg we have to pay
While our leaders play
All I see is people ripping and robbing and grabbing...
Thief never love to see a thief with a long bag,
No love for the people who are suffering real bad
Another toll to the poll may God help my soul
What is to stop the youths from getting out of control
Filled up with educations yet don't own a payroll
The clothes on my back has countless eye holes

Chorus

Could go on and on the full has never been told

Chorus

I say who can afford to run will run
But what about those who can't... they will have to stay
Opportunity is scarce commodity
In these times I say... when mama spend her last to sent you to class...
Never you ever play
It's a competitive world for the low budget people
Spending a dime while earning a nickel
With no regards to who may tickle
My cup is full to the brim

Chorus

Could go on and on the full has never been told

Through this life keep getting me down
Don't give up now
Got survive someway some how

Chorus

6 underground - sneaker pimps

"Take me down, 6 underground,
The ground beneath your feet,
Laid out low, nothing to go
Nowhere a way to meet
I've got a head full of drought,
Down here, so faroff losing out
Round here,

Overground, watch this space,
I'm open to falling from grace

Calm me down, bring it round
Too way high off your street
I can see like nothing else
In me you're better than I wannabe
Don't think 'cos I understand,
I care, don't think 'cos I'm talking we're friends,

Overground, watch this space,
I'm open to falling from grace

Talk me down, safe and sound
Too strung up to sleep
Wear me out, scream and shout
Swear my time's never cheap
I fake my life like I've lived
Too much, I take whatever you're given
Not enough,

Overground, watch this space,
I'm open

I fake my life like I've lived
Too much, I take whatever you're given
Not enough,

Overground, watch this space,
I'm open to falling from grace "

That song is addicting, the flow of it is what gets it.

Matt
