I've tried to be more of an F also, and I've improved in those traits, but I think my destiny is still T. At least I'm more accepting of my T-nature now. For a while I was sort of ashamed to be T.

yes, do be accepting of yourself tab....you are fine just the way you are...i felt something tugging at me telling me i wasn't fulfilling my mission on earth..so i tried to change..but i am so appreciative of all the types and their differences...i actually feel like i'm reverting more back to the T side lately, perhaps in response to my depression/stress. (i hope my posts are coming across as cold or insensitive :) i'm truly sorry if i have.)

My husband is a vulcan. He tested 20 to 0 thinking versus feeling.
And that is a problem for our marriage, unfortunately. :(
But he's working on it.

Well, I should also say that having a balance between us of thinking versus feeling has its good points, too. He's great at problem-solving and looking at the rational and practical side of things.
We need all kinds in this world.

That's because you've never seen "me". hahaha! If I acted like myself on here I would get PBC'ed and blocked like crazy. ;-) I tend to say what is on my mind and nit pick until people want to smack me. Thank goodness I can yell my annoyances at my computer screen and not get in trouble. As long as I don't type too much, I'm safe here. hahaha!

it's quite obvious by the state of the world that we're living in that there aren't more idealists, isn't it?!?!
But seriously, I get into a lot of trouble by refusing to take sides, or offer a concrete opinion... And, of course, when I offer an opinion, I am laughed at and told to grow up just because I am an idealist.
No one ever tells a realist to try to make the world a better place, instead, do they?!? Maybe I should try that comeback someday...
Yes, Susan and I often seem to be two peas in a pod. And I can see a lot of gg there, too.

oh my gosh, sweet zeugma! i'm so sorry!:- i actually thought about you being infp after i left the lab yesterday. don't know why i didn't think to post that...probably b/c you had mentioned you might be inf/*t*p..i was counting purebreds only..:-P just kidding. you know i think you are one awesome infp zeugma! i have the awesomest conversations with you! :) maybe one of these days you'll be more receptive to babblemail..probably about the same time i am, lol..some time *in the future*, lol. well i took the test yesterday, tried to save the results cause i had trouble posting here but lost them due to congested email...long boring story..anyway, the test results did verify that i was an infp...slightly expressed introvert, slightly expressed perceiving, highly expressed intuition, and moderately expressed feeling (it was like 20% introversion, 25% feeling, 75% intuition, and 20% perceiving.)
i knew i was near the borderline on those 3 traits...those 3 tend to switch around on me as far as test results (and personality) are concerned. and i think back to a j/p question that i impulsively answered differently than i should have...so the j/p percentage should actually be a little closer..anyway! phew.

p.s. it bugs me b/c there is so much that is not in the infp portrait, even though that is accurate. i think i am kind of a mix of all the intuitive types. this is getting really self-absorbed lol. sorry.

you are right, it is the T/F function that is closest to a balance (the others are quite marked). It follows that this is the dimension most likely to be affected by a psychoactive medication- Ritalin pushes the balance in favor of F, so I was feeling very INFP-like when I posted my peeved (just kidding, love the word actually) reply. I'm more INTP-like at the moment due to pdoc's orders. So your excluding me from your list peeves me less, and in general I'm less likely to get peeved at all.
