That one gave me a snicker. I love them too.

When I was in Kazakhstan I caught Rocky and Bullwinkle on the tv. It was in Russian.

Boris and Natasha in their native tongue! I loved it.

And a bunch of others. I liked the really old cartoons. The creators must have had access to batches of hallucinogenics.

Foghorn Leghorn

I love the cartoon where Foghorn Leghorn babysits the brainiac chick to impress the mother hen. He's wooing her you see.

He tries to show the kid how to do things like bat a baseball, make a paper airplane etc... and the kid beats him at everything.

Finally, he suggests, "hide and seek" and hides in a kind of box or lean-to next to the barn, saying to himself, "he'll need a sliderule to find me in here".

The kid finishes counting to ten, pulls out a sliderule, does some calculations and grabs a shovel. He commences digging in a spot nowhere near the place Foghorn is hiding. Foghorn says to himself, "he's got it all wrong" and laughs.

A moment later the kid lunges the shovel deeper into the hole he just dug, strains for a moment, and out pops Foghorn atop the shovel.

"But, but, I'm over thar!", exclaims Foghorn. The kid shows him his sliderule and Foghorn says, "Yeah, yeah, figures don't lie".

Nevertheless, Foghorn walks over to where he had been hiding and is about to lift the lid when he pauses and says, "I better not, I just might be in there".

Funniest cartoon ever.

I'm embarassed to admit it, now that I see it again on Cartoon Network. But when I was very little, I was obsessed with Gigantor. Gigantor was my imaginary friend and went with me everywhere. He flew above my car when we went someplace. Of course, he couldn't fit in the house, but I could always go outside to talk to him.

I think we lived in the mountains and program choice was limited in those pre-cable and satellite days.
