Getting a new P-doc

Posted by bandoman on May 23, 2005, at 12:30:20

OK I have decided that enough foot dragging.
I have to get a doc who is more of a specialist in my area. Any one know of a web site that could help identify a doctors specialty in differnt areas of Psychiatry.
Reason I ask is that I greatly prefer female doctors but the one I have now is really a speacialist in geriatric psychiatry and i am not that old yet. I liked her though so I saw her to keep my meds flowing. NOW though I feel the need to get a doctor who is more familiar with PTSD (from childhood)and other stressors that are making my life unbearable. Just passing my feelings off as a bipolar phase aint cutting it with me any longer. So any ideas because the Blue cross physician directory is just basic info and I want someone more specialized.
Thanks Randy
