why am i losing motivation

Posted by rjlockhart98 on May 18, 2005, at 16:00:13

I try alot of things i have made complete castastrophes over things that are almost simple tasks that just need to be finished.

I dont know if these severe anxiety explosions have done something. They where more as a result of being behind.

I have anxiety alot beucase i feel i cant stay stable, being behind, then i wonder really whats wrong with me.

Doing things, work through school i would have incredible "dyphoria" while doing it, and trying.

I took adderall and abused it to stay with things.

If i just stopped it, and went regular like a normal person no matter the what i have, could i eventually adapt.

I lose motivation on things incredibly, and then my anxiety will kill me to try to do something, thoughts on the way im maladjusted, there's a nuerological problem. Survivial mode wasnt ment to be used on a daily basis.

Well , tell me maybe another view.

Matt,

I have to say that my opinion of your post is that you need to go back to the pdoc and have your meds changed, adjusted, augmented, SOMETHING, because you should NOT need to take extra to get things done- Adderall is supposed to allow you to get things done.

Also, lack of motivation is a warning sign of depression and when I take that and add it to the fact that my son's pdoc told us that the Adderall was actually exacerbating his depression (and added an AD to create his " med cocktail", which helped a lot), it leads me to ask you to take this up with pdoc.

Worst case scenario, I'm wrong and you made a trip to the doc for nothing...
