Hideous few days at work. Hideous few to come.

I'm positively shaky.

I'm not sure I'm as polite as I should be at work at times like these. :(

are you shakey because of your blood sugar level or something else?

Stress.

I had to work at the office today, coupled with high levels of urgency and high degree of difficulty. Unfortunately all those worked against actually being efficient and productive. I just ended up really shaky, and even dissociating a bit.

If I have something that needs to be done quickly and well, I'm better off doing it away from the stimulation of the office. :(

Hang in there...it will get better! I'm sending "fun happy work" vibes your way. (Doesn't "funny happy work" sound like something that might be written on English on a T-shirt in Japan? You know how they often like really weird English phrases?)

Maybe you should make a Tshirt for yourself that says "loving work happy lady" and wear it all day. See what kind of comments you get.

take it easy!
good luck with everything!

I think I've figured out my work role

In addition to usually being pretty good at what I do.

I heard a story once that when NASA was trying to get to the moon, they hired a whole floor of people whose job it was to say all the reasons it was impossible to make it to the moon. Then the engineers would overcome the objections.

I think that's my expertise. Being alert to the possibilities of disaster. So that we can figure out ways to avert them.

Who says being a pessimist can't pay?

But since I'm sure that many places of business would benefit from having an imaginative pessimist around, the quality could probably be adapted to fit other occupations. :)
