Quirky things we do :-P

Posted by Shy_Girl on May 2, 2005, at 13:06:41

Hey people!

I thought it might be fun to talk about some of the quirky things we do.

I don't know it it is quirky or not, but I sometimes like to bring my plush animals along with me. I like to think of them as my friends...plus they are so soft and nice to touch. Ahhhh...so cuddly :-P

I talk to my cat as if she understands me completely. Even though I call her "Loser Mewser" and her proper name is "Psycho", she takes it all in stride. Or ignores it - it's hard to tell.

I wouldn't even consider that very quirky at all :-P I bet a lot of people talk to their pets.

I treat my hamster like a baby or something...saying things like, "Ooohhh I love you my little ham ham...you're sooooo cute xxx...yes you are, you're sooo cute." LOL, it sounds just as annoying in real life!

When I travel I *have* to bring my own pillow. If I'm going to be on a long flight I also have to bring one of my favorite bankies. Sometimes a plush, especially if I'm going to be gone a while.

The truth is neither!

Last year when my cat (now sadly in heaven)
Was at the computer, I looked over his shoulder and saw that he had typed:
Thinking of you ((((Very Sane)))
I asked him what he was doing. He said he'd joined a support group for cat's with depressed owners. He said that he was giving hugs to
to a poor cat who's owner referred to her as "Loser Mewser" She said she felt "offended and upset" when she was called this, and often replied "I'm not the loser YOU'RE the loser and I'm glad I shed on the couch"

I'm kind of like that too. I can't sleep if I'm not in my own bed, with my own comforter and pillow. My parents had to bring me my own pillow and comforter when I was locked up in the hospital.

I don't sleep with any stuffed animal though...but I think more people do than they admitt :o)

lol i wondered if those cats were on the computer (nm) » Gabbi-x-2

I love it! She looks at me with the same disdain whether I say lovey-dovey things to her or insult her kitty IQ. I'd say she has her 9 lives purrfectly balanced and should become my therapist.
