I think I'm speechless. (That doesn't happen often.)

Seriously, thank you all so so much. I cannot tell you what this means to me.

You are all very dear souls, and I am grateful to know you.

Warmly,
gg

I volunteer to coordinate special events. Like ice cream socials. Wine tasting (okay that one is for me, but...)

I've never been in a fan club. This will be fun.

I think every good meeting needs canapes. And a canape committee coordinator to make them.

Could I please be elected canape committee coordinator? I promise to do a very coordinated job. And as well as having an aliterative title, I would of course have to be a member at large, and as I am often at large, this would be perfect.

I await news, and if I am elected, I will happily follow the themes of those whose job it is to decide on the theme.

I would however like to suggest that the first theme be something to do with the garden: perhaps a vegetarian thing? Gardenergirl garden canapes? Just a thought.

Sorry if I stepped on your toes, I didn't see them there in my excitement of joining the club.

I'll gladly share the cost of expensive wine and liquor.

I will wear a beatnick wig and dark sunglasses as I read poetry to a bongo beat.

But, I thought we had to "be civil"? Are crudités allowed?

Maybe at the fan club meetings we all get to swear and curse?

Hey -- me too! me too! Is anyone President yet? I'll take THAT job. And offer my play room, my ability to make fancy agenda's AND I live in wine country.

(I'd love to host everyone.)

Hey, great, another road trip!

I get a big discount at some of the wineries because in another life I use to be a wine writer, so I can show you around.

If you plan a trip at the end of Jan, we usually have a mini-heat wave (72+ degrees or so)

We could visit SF for shopping.

Only, my house is small so you'll have to bring sleeping bags and put up with my cats.

Whose coming?

Count me in. I'll bring a sleeping bag and kitty treats for our furry roomates. 72 degrees is a major heatwave to me, I'm in Wisconsin, and in January it gets below zero.

I'll drive the tourbus, take the pictures, write the story, and be the silent bodyguard lurking in the periphery.

But I don't join anything.
