This just in.....

Posted by kid47 on October 25, 2004, at 12:45:52

I never knew it was possible to feel this bad. I have had some rough moments in my life, but they pale by comparison with what I am dealing with at this time. But there is some good news. I have recently been able to give up the nicotine gum I was using to try and stop smoking. Now I just have a normal pack and a half/day addiction to cigarettes, cigars, and just about anything else I can set on fire and suck into my lungs. Through conscientious diet and exercise I had managed to lose 40 pounds over the last year. I have dropped an additional 32 pounds since in just 3 short months without even trying. I smell a diet book in the works. Maybe something like "Stress, Anxiety, and Depression-Your Friends for Fighting Fat" At one time I could have come up with a better title but I have seemed to have lost my lovely sense of humor and razor wit. Time and its passing has been very uncooperative as of late. After sleeping for what seems like days I look at the clock and realize it has only been 15 minutes since I closed my eyes. Of course that's when smoking really comes in handy. At 3 a.m. I can light up and watch infomercials. I just bought a really nifty food processor, for only $39.95, from the home shopping network. It has a lifetime warranty on the cutting blades....the only problem is that it is too darn small for me to fit my head into it. I also purchased (for just 3 easy payments of $638.00) a video course that guarantees I will be wealthy beyond my wildest dreams. "How to Buy and Sell Real Estate Even if You're Flat Broke" I have exhausted the suggestion of checking for change in phone booths and couch cushions and now am ready for the chapter on how to successfully knock over a 7-11. So I am sure before long I will become an entreprenurial household name through my exposure on "America's Most Wanted". Well I'm done trying to be funny. Sorry. I used to be better at it. I don't know how much I'll be around here...not that it particualrly matters...especially when I write this mundane drivel....but I do find sometime it helps me just to ramble on for a bit. I sure hope everyone is feeling a whole lot better than I do at this juncture. and for those of you who know me, I apologize....but you know what i always say. Is there something I always say or am I just low on nicotine? how about......If your nose runs and your feet smell you're built upside down.....no that's not it. Oh I remember!!!.......Sometimes life just really sucks. Have a perfect week!!!!

how can you say your wit is failing you? i so envy you! People that can look at the mundane and see something funny that i would never see if i looked at it for years. what a gift.

if you can see the humor in life (however dim that light may be) you have the ability to get thru the tough times. humor is healing.

hang in there. you're an asset to this world.
