I cut my hair

Posted by saw on October 25, 2004, at 1:37:02

On Saturday. My near waist length hair is now just touching my shoulders. It feels better and I look younger! All that medication induced dry brittle hair gone!

Now I just have to learn how to style it and buy some colour to get rid of all the grey!

Hey, congratulations! I also just got mine up to shoulder-length, by clipping an inch here and there over many months. I've been experimenting with clips, barettes, braids, and styling gunk. There seem to be a lot more possibilities at this length. My favorite so far is just clipping it all up. I use a claw clip in back then a bunch of other little clips to hold back the bangs and hold up the shorter bits at the bottom. Couldn't really do this when it was longer-- too much hair and nowhere to put it.

I'm darkish brown with reddish (like all the ishes) undertones so am going to stick to that colour. I might go a bit more auburn but that's about as brave as I get.

You're aimee today, not amy?

Sabrina :)

that sounds really pretty. no wonder you want to stick to that color!! uh, to die for!

<I might go a bit more auburn but that's about as brave as I get.

it sounds pretty the way it is..i'm having brunette fantasies myself..i mean, not fantasies about brunettes exactly, but of becoming one..i just don't know if i'm ready to take the plunge, though. some red highlights thrown in there would be nice, too. maybe i'll just wait til the urge passes.

yeah, i suppose i get as bored with my name as a do with my hair color..

I cut mine too, though it was short to start. Now you can see my eyes again, and all the annoying wisps on my neck are gone. It feels great, but I don't recongize myself in the mirror yet.

Saw, I vote for you in auburn ! (nm)

Wow! That's quite a bit of chopping. I'm considering going in this week to hack mine off but I'm really scared. My long hair has been a security blanket for me...but on the other hand I really need a change.
