It seems as if everyone is having a bad day and not posting, or is it just me? Seems like a lot of people are mad and posting on the admin board.
Makes me kinda sad as a newbie who really wants to make new friends?
Can I joing the party or maybe should I just ask another day????

It has been prickly here lately, and I snuck in a post on Admin, but mostly I have to stay away or else steam comes out of my ears and ruins my hair. I'm not one for emoticons, but it is impossible to read one's tone in a post. What reads like annoyance or anger could be frustration.
And I bet if you and I try we could rearrange some of the mood sets here. I remember when I was new to Babble I saw that there were multiple currents running throughout the boards. Some people choose their battles and some enjoy sparring. I like to run away as quick as I can when I sense a fight.
I had a bad few days as unfortunately EVERYONE knows about because I can't keep from posting. I try to give back as soon as I am able because this place really is good for me.
Please stick around!

that's funny, i thought you meant mad as in crazy :)..i guess it's the way you put it. :)anyway, i don't think people are particularly pissy today. it may just be a slow day..but it usually is pretty slow..why don't you help us out by starting some thread topics? :-) or continue this one..i'll chat with ya!..:):)

I'm not mad - I don't go to Admin for just that reason, so I don't even know what's going on over there!

It is usually pretty slow around here during the day. It seems to me that most people post in the evenings. And sometimes people are just in a bad place themselves, which makes it really hard to reach out. I think I'm one of those people right now. But I didn't want you to feel like no one was glad to see you here.
We are all happy you found us and we hope you stick around.

i assure you, i'm mad but i'm not the least bit upset. i'm sorry you find it troubling dear. when i first started posting here, i'd get very wrapped up in the 'politics' or i'd get angry about everything (heck, i'd get angry just because i didn't have a reason to get angry), but it seems now that i take the (what's the word???) um, cycles of babble without any sort of emotion really. i can say that 'arguments' here don't upset me in the least anymore
(how cold am i you ask? that's to be determined).i guess, much like roomates or family members, sometimes we disagree. think of it that way, we love eachother so much that we just have to argue sometimes. (or, if you are a pessimist, btw, did i spell that right? you can just think that we really can't stand eachother, thus we argue. but, i'd think if we couldn't stand eachother we'd jsut remain silent, right?
so, now that i've completely forgotten what you wrote, how's your day going? i hope it's wonderful dear. and i hope that you don't let some issues on admin (or elsewhere? are they elsewhere?) stop you from visiting and posting.

Actually, I really don't know what all the arguement is or was about.....I read some, but really didn't get into it. I don't want to offend anyone, just wanted to talk, and was hoping the arguing could stop for a while so I could.

I am on my second day of work and have been home with

I sometimes feel very isolated and lonely because the only time I have to be on babble *is* during the day, when everyone else (well ... being babblers, maybe a few) are sleeping.
I can only jump in on the fun the next day and I end up being the last poster on the thread. Never mind the couple of hours it takes me to catch up.
Oh well, s'pose can't have it all!

I thought that *I* was always the last poster on any thread I get involved in!! Maybe it's just over on the psychology board. I sometimes think of myself as the thread *cooler* in that my posts seem to kill a thread!
