I'm such a constant presence here at Babble so I don't want my adoring public to worry. We leave for England on Saturday for a week's holiday, but in the meantime our county is being evacuated due to the expected arrival of Hurricane Charlie. It's been an interesting day, as in the Chinese curse. it did mean that I have to pack a couple of days earlier for the trip, hahaha!
Also you all should know that there will be an international meeting of Babblers as I'm going to meet up with NikkiT2. That is a high point of the trip for me!

As a south coast resident myself, I know what you're going through with charley. and right after bonnie.
Things will be fine when you get back. It may take a bit of work, but you never know what you'll find after one of these.
Just watch out for the fire ants and snakes. Wet weather brings them both out.

Hi all. At this point they are saying I am in Charleys path as well. (coastal carolina) but I dont think it will be the brunt like florida is going to get. Be safe everyone...
