> I am going to miss my friend so much, I want to cry. I want to cry for her too because she is so sad.

Ditto. I wish I knew what to do. I hate this disorder of depression/anxiety more and more every day - not so much because of what it has done to me and my life, but more because of how it rips at the lives of those I love. I do know I am not giving up on Mystic. She would never give up on us. As far as the meds go though, I wish I could be sure that 20mg was the answer. For me, I tried 20mg, then 25mg and 30mg of Lexapro to no avail. I needed to change to a completely different family of antidepressants before I started to come around again. Maybe this is Mystic's answer.

MYSTIC...If you are reading this...DO NOT GIVE UP!!! I am living proof that there is life beyond anxiety and depression. You have to keep fighting this battle out until you win. If we could do it for you, we would. But only you can do it. If you can't do it for yourself, do it for Mel and the new grandson. You have to find a way to push past those fears until you find something that works for you. And you have to be honest with the doctor. When you find the right med or dosage or combination of meds - whatever it takes - you will realize that though it wasn't easy, it was worth the fight. And keep in touch with us. (((Mystic)))

What med are you on? Mrs. C

I am on 150mg Wellbutrin and 1mg Xanax. I have also found some natural supplements that have helped immensely, but it is kinda late to get into all of that.

Hi Simus, I heard from Mystic this morning and she is okay. Just thought you'd like to know. I will ask her if it's okay if I keep all of you posted on her.

When you have time I would love to know about your natural remedies. Thanks for everything last night. Mrs. C

Mystic my friend, please don't shut us out like that we need you just as much as you need us. Even when your not feeling good yourself, you always have a positive word of advice for all of us. We need you Mystic.

I know what your going through is not easy, and God knows we have all been through it or are still going through it from time to time. I know what you feel like because I am afraid of the meds too but there has to come a time when you say I am sick of feeling this way and try to just take the meds and feel better. I would really advise that you try the xanax if that is what your doctor prescribed. The xanax is what helped me get through the fear of taking the Lexapro. The xanax is a life saver for me...it has helped me when I was having the worst attack and it has helped me thorough the Lexapro.

Whatever you decide to do Mystic please know that you don't bring us down and this is why we are all here. We love ya girl - please keep posting.

Your friend,
anxious babe

Hi Mystic -
I'm so glad you're still posting, but sad to hear you're still not doing well. Don't you ever think you bring any of us down or that we don't want to hear from you when you're not feeling well. It's quite the opposite. You give so much to everyone, now it's our turn to try and give to you :-).

I am so NOT med-phobic, it's hard for me to understand what you are going through! I hope you will try the increase and see if it helps. 10mg to 20mg made such a difference for me! I still get crazy a couple of times per month, but it is fairly tolerable. You are so active with going to aerobics, seeing Mel & the baby, etc. That is something to be really proud of. Most people get lethargic and withdrawn when they don't feel good & start shutting out life. I don't see you doing that! Hang in there girl, I miss all your posts - you are the glue (not to put any pressure on you!).

Hey - great to hear from you, Mystic!!! If you don't mind my asking (you don't have to answer), do you have anxiety, depression, OCD, a combination, or something else? I could possibly offer some natural suggestions if I knew what you were dealing with. They may not completely cure you of everything, but it may make the difference between a bad day and a good day.

God bless,

Simus

Thank you Simus - I feel the same way about you :-)!

If you have time, I'd love to know what natural remedies you've tried and how you feel they compare to the pharmaceuticals. I've tried 5-htp & Sam-E plus a bunch of herbal combos. I don't think I gave any of them a good enough go to assess whether they would've worked. Thanks!
