NO ONE IN PARTICULAR... JUST EVERYONE CHANGED....there isn't much of any one on here that was here when i left in dec 2003 for the road. trucking is so cruel to your body and mind... really went down hill over the last 15 years
i am in open babble alot, ever been there? mostly woman but occasionally men too!! major changes heading my way. either moving to another state or going to school. all hinges on what the refigure of our incometaxes are... then if we can offer and comprmise (pay a percent). hope we know soon.

i am doing ok taking one day at a time right now... glad you are still around...hey what do you have planed for the summer? i am going to try to get this place back in shape... being on the road for about a year has let this place here slide cause i can only do so much.. i am getting there and enjoying the little progresses as i make them.. great exercise, and best of all i am with all my pups and in the great out doors..
i am hoping to go to school this fall..i am going to be a diesel mechanic. the field is wide open for woman and i have always had a mechanical mind. i look forward to this change in my life, hopefully thru this i can get insurance and then get proper medical attention.

til next time , take care and remember i am thinking of you and praying for the best....take care! hey on one of the other threads i put out a statement about reprograming your mind... the subconcious... i said to make a tape ..with your voice, telling yourself posivtive things..and chiling your anger/rage such as telling yourself you are loosing weight, you are calm, you are handsome... what ever you can think of to put in your mind.(because if you hear derogitive statements long enought they can destroy you) so you can undo the harm that life has thrown our way.. and play it on one of those tape players that flips it selfs , play it all night long as you sleep and it can reprogram you into what you want to be... a thought.. i will be doing it too..

okay.

i could try out the microphone inputs on this computer ... with any luck i should be able to burn my recording to a cd ... ... i can work on my voice ...

and i want to use my preferred buddhist mantra, which simplifies what i might otherwise have to compose ...

then load the cd to the discman and i can try out my 'ear-bud' style ear phones ... set the player to repeat ... use the ac adapter to save on batteries ...

should work ...

Hi Trucker, pleased to meet you! I saw y'all talking over here and just thought I'd mention that jimi got blocked today (it's on Admin). I didn't want you to wonder or worry. Guess we'll be seein him down the road a piece!

And, I wish you the best on your journey. You know, I have sometimes thought trucking would be a good occupation to suit my issues... But reading your comments about the things it can exacerbate, I'd be sure to consider it more carefully (though I'm starting to think I'll never try anything new again anyway!).

Have a good -- and nice and short now -- week! :- )

RE the trucking... well, I don't have a mate or kids, those coasts are clear! But I do tend to isolate myself too much from meeting new people and letting anyone really get to know me... Always thinking I should curb those tendencies but maybe instead I should just be true to who I am! :- )

i didn't realize there was anything wrong with loving another person. personally, i'm not going to limit myself to a particular gender. if i were to ignore my heart, wouldn't that be an abomination?

If you remember that day, I spent about 30-45 min. alone with you in Open while you explained your difficult background. I believe that I was kind, encouraging, and supportive to you.

Later in Open, you did indeed say that "gays" are "an abomination". I stated to you at that time that I am a bisexual. Two other people in the room stated that they are gay. No, we didn't like being called that word.

Did we "go on and on about it"? Yes, as did you since you continued to state that we sinful beings. I had hoped the conversation would end there, and would never again see the light of day. However, you brought it into Babble.

I'll risk a PBC, or a block to state that I and my fellow bisexual, gay, lesbian, and transgendered friends are not abominations. We are people, fellow Babblers, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, sons and daughters. We are not sins.

I'd like Open to be civil, too. Please don't post anything there that could lead others to feel accused or put down, either.

If you have any questions or comments about this or about posting policies in general, or are interested in alternative ways of expressing yourself, please see the FAQ:

http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/faq.html#civil

or redirect a follow-up to Psycho-Babble Administration.

Sharing something about your own issues and their possible role in your reaction might be an interesting exercise -- and might help others respond to you supportively.

Thanks,

Bob

Thank you Dr. Bob. Normally things are wonderfully supportive in Open. Tho, we do try to keep Babble and Open separate, this was a bit of an exception. We'll continue to try to come to an understanding. I'm sure we can if we open our hearts.

Truly, Open is well chaperoned by the wonderful Babblers and is typically a very safe place for people to venture into. As best we are able, we try to make people feel welcome and secure to talk about whatever they need. And sometimes it's full of just plain silliness. :-)

Thank you for your support and understanding.
