Hi Mystic! How are you doing??? I am doing pretty good. Mentally, I am doing great. Not 100%, but getting there.

I actually hesitated to write how much I have gained because I didn't want to discourage anyone. I have always gained weight very easily. When you combine that with a few drugs known to make you gain weight taken over several years, along with the fact that I was either so numb or so depressed that I really didn't care to exercise, it isn't a good combination. So that is just me...don't expect that for yourself!

Have a blessed Easter!

hey guys, not feeling too good today, i seem to wake up with a headache and a stiff neck almost everyday now..:S and today is the first day since the increase where i am feeling the anxiety pretty intensly. sucks. i hope everyone else's day is better than mine! Mystic i bet its exciting waiting for the baby to arrive, is this your first grandchild? must be a new feeling.

Life can be such a gift yet sometimes such a curse..maybe somewhere in there i can find balance, thats all i think we all really want.

i tried getting in to the Ballble open but it wasnt allowing me to complete the regestration..weird i would be almost done then the screen wouldnt load then it would say, sorry we could not complete...i'll try again later cause it does sound like fun. i am usually up at insane times cause of insomnia so it would be nice to NOT spend that time alone.

Have a great evening everyone and HAPPY EASTER!!!

Mag

DEPRESSION SUCKS.. I HAVE NO ONE BUT THIS BOARD FOR SUPPORT. OUR FAMILY IS DISFUNCIONAL. I HAD A LONG PERIOD AFTER THE DEAD BABY THAT I ONLY REMEMBER GREIVING. ABOUT 2 1/2 YEARS. I DON'T REMEMBER ANYTHING OTHER THAN NOT WANTING TO GET OUT OF BED. AND THERE COMES THE WEIGHT. GO FROM ACTIVE TO WISH YOU WERE DEAD AND THINGS GROW FAST. 135LBS. AND STILL STRUGGLING WITH NO DESIRE TO TAKE THE WEIGHT OFF. I'D LIKE TOO BUT DON'T HAVE THE STRENGTH.

Hello to all, I am hoping this time I can actually post...This is a cool place but really hard to get the first time...
I just started taking Lexapro three days ago so I am interested in what everyone has to say! I am getting married in 2 months almost to the day, so I hope this stuff kicks IN!

I wanted to try again to make sure I really can post...It took me like 30 minutes to figure it out...I also read around a bit and see the other smoker on here is bride2be? I think...did you start smoking more when you started Lex? I swear I have smoked two packs today...I enjoyed reading the posts, The ones about the mall are oh too familiar. I am ready to stop suffering and start being normal. I have a stttttrrrreessssful job, teaching sixthgraders that wont be quiet, ever, math, and with this wedding coming up, I hope I dont gain a crapload of weight over the next two months...I have lost 25 since stopping paxi, but i GAINED 50 on it!!!!!!I was all svelte and hot at 145, and then before I knew it I was 195, in like 5 months!!I am a plump 170 right now and would like to lose a bit more before the wedding, is this possible or am I dreaming? Will this still endear me to chubby-dome, or have most of you found it hasnt caused a lot of weight?

Welcome, and Happy Easter! You are at the right place for support.

A med change two months before your wedding? I wish you a fast and smooth transition!

I don't think that Lexapro is as notorious for weight gain as Paxil. It seems that most people can maintain their weight fairly well on Lexapro. Anyway, between your med change, your job, and your upcoming wedding, I would say you have enough stress without trying to go on a major diet on top of it all. Maybe just exercise right now would help you to firm up, reduce stress, and feel better overall.

God bless.
