JYL, et al, Don't have 10, but have 1 goodun

Posted by noa on March 17, 2004, at 19:53:12

JYL and friends,

I don't have a 10 list, but here's one really good one from today--something that coulda turned out real bad but didn't:

1. When I went to my car after work, I looked in the window and saw that my wallet was there on the passenger seat--must have fallen out of my pockabook--it was wide open with the credit card showing its vulnerable face to the world, out there in an open air unguarded parking lot!!! But it was there!! After about 5 hours while I was inside working. I hadn't even known there was a problem, but I was very very relieved anyway!! LOL

Wow that's pretty good. I keep forgetting to close my garage door. All night long, it's standing open with all my tools, lawnmover, bike, everything accessible. So far nobody has disturbed anything.

Thanks for sharing that, Noa. :)

I think we hear so many news stories about bad people that we tend to get a skewed vision of the world.

I like to be reminded of that.

Yes thanks. When I posted it did remind me to check. The garage isn't attached to the house, so it's not like anyone can just walk in the back door.

What I keep doing is leaving the door open, planning to close it as soon as I get inside, using the remote that's in my kitchen. Doing that just saves me from walking about 4 steps out of the way to use the button that's inside the garage. I really ought to re-wire the button so it's more conveniently located.
