I accepted the offer this morning and submitted my resignation.
I start two weeks from today. I will have internet access, but will have to wait on daytime surfing and posting until I get a feel for the place.
I won't go away, I'll just have to kick my husband off the home PC until I can get him a gameboy.

Congratulations! I don't know the whole story but it sounds like something you've wanted. Hell I've been at the same place for 25 years so the thought of a new job is both exciting and terrifying. And I've still got another 20 years before I can even think of retiring (unless that winning Lotto ticket finds its way into my pocket)

It's working in fundraising for a health care organization. It includes working on events and I did that at another job and really liked it. Plus the pay is way better.
The job I am, thankfully, leaving is with the same organization, but I'm bored out of my mind. I've been trying to get out of here for four years. Over 20 interviews later, I feel like the gates of heaven have opened.
