proof that 'good thoughts ' really work

Posted by gabbix2 on August 29, 2003, at 18:06:01

Okay, maybe not proof, scientifically.
But OMG something good happened! Something really really really good. I haven't seen my best 3-d
friend in 2 years, and well I miss her like I would miss my arm.
She's amazing. She's been with me through hospital trips, and suicide attempts, and its never ever affected our friendship. We always marvelled at the fact that we'd known each other for 12 years, and saw each other almost every day but were always excited to see each other.

She moved away though, to take a teaching position. And I've since moved to a town where I have literally not *one* friend. It doesn't help my depression any.
Well I found out today, that she's been transferred to the town I live in! What are the chances? I'm stunned.
I think it had to do with all your good thoughts.
Really.
And I was so stunned and happy, I did the same thing I do every other day, I sat on my couch and cried. I really DO need to come up with a new reaction to things
