J,

The flowers out where I am at currently are beautiful (amazing what humidity does for the vibrancy of flowers).

Sailor seems to need a break from this site. We can only wish him safety and kindness. I'm hoping he'll make a border crossing to spend my layover with me in the airport if possible. Would be my first face to face with another PBer. I would consider myself lucky to meet someone so kind and with such a similar background in many ways.

I give a *bleep* (screw the fricking civility that keeps the words that express the extent of our illnesses from this board!).

As for the brick road I know for a fact it ain't golden and there ain't no palace of emeralds at the end. Instead it is just a convoluted path of life that keeps us in its grip.

I hope you and sweet ~t keep in touch and support one another creatively. I've spent the past two evenings walking the shore out front of ma's home (where I'm currently helping her get back on her feet after a massive injury) collecting beach glass---something that is rare out on the Pacific where I live. The beaches out there are too sandy and not rocky enough to tumble the glass into the gorgeous softness that I've collected over the past few nights.

I find this small beauty in this hellish time while I'm drinking like I haven't for nearly eight years.

If a bottle a night is keeping me from death then so be it.

Follow the path that calls out to you. Stay in touch with the sailor who says he is lost but is more found than many of us can ever hope to be.

Dorothy, toto, and that ruby slipper crap, etc. Mainly the opium poppy fields that lure them all into that deep slumber. Which I currently crave but am busy downing the last of this bottle.

if I'm not making sense then it is 'cuz i'm tossed and the vino is working its magic. the next few night i'll have to turn to martinis. woo...booze is such the coping mechanism when all else fails...it's been years since I've drank like this for these reasons but what else to do?!!
