I hate that commercial, I'd hate it even more if I had kids, but I just think its stupid.
Even if it was funny once to someone ...years ago Okay folks we GOT it, now try something else?

I hate that one with all the people sticking there butts into the camera doing that little wiggle because they feel so "clean" because of the extra little pockets in "whatever' brand toilet paper. That is just the.. I can't think of anything bad enough to call it! I haven't seen it recently though so I'm hoping it got yanked.

I usually multitask and tune out mentally during commercials, so I don't get to be amused or annoyed. But that Nike commercial really got to me. The "Just do it" one? Where they strung up a tennis net downtown in the middle of traffic to play a game while inconveniencing everyone else. How rude!!! Just ignore everyone else to do what feels good to you? I don't think so. It totally outraged my Puritan sensibilities. I still don't buy Nikes. (But I'm darn glad it wasn't Reeboks because I really like Reeboks.)

But one thing I have noticed lately about commercials is that they have so little to do with the products. Even if I loved the commercial, I'd never be able to remember what product it was selling. I miss jingles. We taught our son his address to an old jingle.

...do make me feel cleaner! Ew.
I said no more potty stuff for me so i've already overstepped my bounds.
Someone, hurry...switch commercials!
JYL, I know you tried but Gabbi ruined it.
Bad bad Gabbi and her "pockets"!
Sanitarily yours,

I absolutely hate that orgasmic shampoo commercial with the idiot woman yelling, YES! YES!
I think it's highly offensive and very low-class, and I can't believe some ad agency got paid for thinking up that trash.

I do like the frozen pizza commercial where the guy is singing to a pizza slice and dancing around in his boxers. That always makes me laugh.

With those bloody anti depressant ads.
Well maybe we're just the unlucky ones.
Maybe some people do breeze out of the Dr's office and on to the happily ever after, without the hair loss, the weight gain, the relationship split up because of the weight gain, the anxiety the constipation the impotence the inexplicable aches the job loss because of the morning hangover.. maybe.

The Zoloft commercial describes my situation! After a gazillion other meds, Zoloft was what worked. NOT in 30 seconds, though....months! My WH commented on it and said it reminded him of when the Zoloft started working for me.

I'm really happy for you, I mean that really happy. Bitter as I can be its sure nice to hear stories of people who made their way out, and its a bit of hope too. I haven't tried zoloft yet.
Maybe I should I heard it caused weight gain though. Although I noticed in the ads it said 'weight loss' but so did most of the one's that I gained weight on I think.

Thanks JYL for the information.
I just got back from my useless GP who I'm stuck with.
He told me no ad's cause weight gain over 5 lbs
and that I wasn't gaining weight from Zyprexa,
And that Anti-depressants don't change your metabolism.
What a complete load of crap. This is the man I have to trust my mental health to for at least 6 mos.
Oh yeah, I told him I needed an Ssri with my Wellbutrin and he told me I don't need one because WEllbutrin is an SSRI...no thats just not true and I told him. Then he just gets huffy so I still don't get what I need.

Isn't that scary.
Sorry I needed to vent its so damn frustrating

hey you...

If you don't need any anti panic or anxiety effecy, which the zyprexa seems to be covering, try wellbuterin..I forgot the canadian name/// my ex in Nova Scotia, used and loved it.

No sexual sides, or hangover...high does though may cause small seizures but that is easily dealt with by upping the dose gradually and using the sustained release form.

sorry to have flipped you out about the weight I gained on zyprex...

In peace, ~tony

1. Five words (not sure if this is a national campaign or local to California):

"Lost another loan to Di-Tech."

2. Eleven words (local to California)

"Sit & Sleep will beat anyone's price or your mattress is FREEeeeee!"

3. Most annoying jingle:

800-588-2300 EmPIIIIIIIRE

http://www.empirecarpet.com/Home.asp

4. Most annoying facial expression: the female intern's pursed lips during one segment of the Dell commercial (when she looks at the other intern after being chastised).

5. Biggest stretch (no pun intended). The guy who has apparently undergone a personality transplant because he simply asked his doctor about Viagra.

6. Strangest concept: "Elvis" singing La Vida Loca on "Kingtinued - The Greatest Elvis Songs You've Never Heard" - huh??? If there was ever a reason to feel disassociated with reality (for me), this would be it. Where are Priscella and the Graceland attorneys when you need them?

http://www.myelvis.com/

7. Scariest spokesperson: Dr. Lewis Feder promoting his revolutionary "SkinTight" patented formula. Read my collagen-filled lips: this stuff works (under professionally applied make up).

8. An "out of circulation irritant," but destined to resurface the next time there's a paternity dispute - Days of our Lives "Who's the Daddy?" campaign.

I love that one, too!

The way he says "Don't feel sorry for the little lamp" is hilarious.

Funny thing is, the first time I saw that commercial I did feel sad for the little lamp.

Lamest (IMO) ad campaign:

J.C. Penney "It's All Inside"

That's one of those that makes me scratch my head and wonder who took home the dough for that doozy.

Oh Somebody who's seen it!

Thank you Tony!
No I'm glad you told me about the weight gain, otherwise I wouldn't have begged for glucophage which is supposed to prevent the weight gain from Zypreza, Who knows what would have happened.
I become seriously sometimes suicidally depressed over weight gain, especially when it seems I don't have any control over it. So thank you.

Dear Gabbix,

I didn't gain weight on Zoloft but I have a really screwy endocrine system -- I can gain weight simply by looking at fattening foods or lose weight because it's Tuesday.

As I mentioned, a ton of meds didn't work for me - w/Zoloft, I began feeling better w/in the first 2 months on Zoloft. However,it took getting to max doses and staying there for a few months for "break-through".
