...as they say around these parts. And Tabby Cat, welcome to the 40 club. It took you long enough to get here. Now don't wig out on us over all the gray hairs and wrinkles.

Have a wonderful date!

I hope you both enjoy your days!

Tab, Being 40 is not so bad, being teased about it sucks though...

I'll be a 50-something in two more years and I'm petitioning to have the year 2005 cancelled due to lack of interest. Care to sign up? :)

Have a great one!

Greg

Babe.. now, don;t laugh at me.. but 2005.. I'll be 30.. and where I'm standing that feels like quite a milestone.. quite scary too.. 30 means.. adult.. 20 odd you're such a 20 somthing, and starting to to become an adult.. but 30.. that means.. well.. I always thought things would be so different when I hit 30.. thought the pressures would be different.. but they're not..

We can be "milestone buddies"!! *g*

I;m wrong *sobs* I'll be 30 in 2004!!!! (nm)

Tabitha, sorry this is late. I went away to visit my parents and grandparents this weekend.
It seems that just as I was getting depressed about `getting older', my family made a special fuss of me and reminded me of why I was so thankful to be alive. I am very lucky to be blessed with such a small but WONDERFUL group of family and friends. (Of course, I can't forget the most special person of all: My cat!)

Maybe getting older isn't so bad after all.

Tabitha, I hope you had a wonderful 40th and that you have found the old adage to be true: Life begins at 40. Now I feel as though there is something to look forward to. :-)

We all get older and our attitudes are more important than the number of candles on the cake...

Thanks for your best wishes everyone. :-)
I'm really touched by your birthday wishes.

Thanks
Alara

thanks dear, 'getting older' is all relative, you are 33 right? Just in your prime. I have a couple 50-ish women friends who are so cool they make me not fear 50. Glad you ended up having a nice birthday. My friend baked me a chocolate cake, complete with silly decorations and 40 (!) candles. It was flame-tastic!

From me, too.

Tab, I hadn't realized it was your 40th. Welcome to the club (40 and older). When I turned 40, a slightly older relative told me that people in her business started taking her more seriously as she got into her forties. So there are definitely benefits.

Thanks, Noa, Indeed there are benefits. I could do without the physical markers, but I sure as heck wouldn't turn the clock back. my 20s were chaotic and suicidal, 30s were still struggling, but in 40s I think I have a chance to start enjoying life more and more. who knows? maybe 50s are even better.
