A beautiful sensitive creative child, maybe.

I actually love to color, and to paint. It reminds me of a time when I really didn't have a care in the world (however short that was. :-)
I have a painting of Zorro I need to finish. He has the most haunting eyes, and I did the eyes first or there was no point in finishing the painting because it wouldn't look like him. I got the eyes right, then got scared I would mess them up so it's only half-finished. A lot of my life is like that, half finished because I'm afraid to screw it up. But medication is doing wonders for that, allowing me to figure out how to be me and live in the world without giving up that creative child part of me.

I hope you can find a way to do that too, Shannon. Your soul is so beautiful sometimes it makes me cry.

If that's what makes you happy, do it. You can always paint more if you miss them, can't you?

Maybe that's why I haven't finished it. I feel like his kitty-stare is on me all the time???

Are you OK? Or having a particularly self-questioning day?

I have those more often that I admit. But I sure put on a brave face, no one knows. But my journal knows.

bozeman,
what I would give to have that help from medication, to learn how to be in the world and still have creativity-- that's my dream. I'm still waiting to pick up my guitar. I actually sang yesterday, but I still can't confront the guitar. I am paralyzed by what you describe-- the inability to finish things because I won't do them 'right'. Did I already ask you what meds you're taking? (I'm sorry if I did, been very long day). I can only pray to God they invent a good one for me soon. I loved your post to shannon.

I'm sorry that you are feeling crap.
I wanted to say that I heard you and I don't at all believe that you are a waste or a pathetic fool (and don't even think of trying the 'but you would hate me if you knew me' line!).

All the best.

take your time. maybe its a good time to write so

me lyrics. Pehaps in a while the guitar will look like it "needs" to be played and you will have a bit of fresh material to work on it with.

Try to keep your spirits up!
